I recently had to drive on a route with no Tesla Superchargers so I bought one of these. I'm a small older woman and had difficulty getting it to connect completely and I have difficulty removing it but it seems to work well with the proper connection.
Interesting, thanks for the feedback.....I am still hoping for TESLA to come out with their versionI recently had to drive on a route with no Tesla Superchargers so I bought one of these. Its ridiculous that tesla hasn't come out with one yet, it's a necessary item for an ev to function in the current charging infrastructure.Interesting, thanks for the feedback.....I am still hoping for TESLA to come out with their version
I thought you backed out due to logiSTICs? I alSO NEED TO KNO IF IT FITs the bc hydro plugS so i can travel to valdeZ from fbxThe REMA CCS1 connector has a hood over the latching mechanism that is angular in shape, not curved like all the CT adapters I've seen:

The angular points on the connector bind on the CT adapter inlet (this on from Hansshow):

The S3XY adapters have a more angular shaped latch inlet which accepts the CCS1 connector readily.

I've concluded that until someone makes a CT CCS1 adapter with a latch inlet shape that accepts the REMA connector, I'm better off using a Mode 3/Y adapter and EVject to charge my CT on BC Hydro and Flo chargers in Canada. That's what Bearded Tesla Guy did traveling from Prince George, BC to Whitehorse, YT on his Arcticcybertrek journey to the Arctic Ocean.
Correct me if I'm wrong on this. It's important that I get this matter straight before embarking on our Alaska overland trip later this summer.

There were a couple of reasons for aborting the trip. The inability to connect to BC Hydro and Flo fast chargers, colder than expected temps, and tending to my Model Y at home that was not charging a low battery. I have not found anyone who has successfully used a Cybertruck CCS1 to NACS adapter with these chargers. Justin (Bearded Tesla Guy) used an EVject and standard adapter with some success on BC Hydro and Flo chargers, but had a lot of trouble at Freewire chargers. From Fairbanks to Valdez you won't find BC Hydro or Flo chargers, or fast chargers at all, along the Richardson Highway. If you do, please let us know.I thought you backed out due to logiSTICs?
