“ Can anyone explain this situation?”

They sold out.
They are not sold out. Plenty in stock, just hidden for now and unavailable while free financing applies

You can only write off the entire thing if it is used 100% for business in the year of purchase. After that, <50% business use triggers depreciation recapture .

Correct, plus you must have at least the write-off amount of net taxable profit after all other deductions. Expensing using bonus or Sectiion 129 depreciation is limited to taxable income from the business where the equipment is used. And no vehicle ever qualifies for 100% use applicability unless it is parked at a separate place of business, is never used for even de minimus family purposes. And the Tesla keeps track. You would need a log showing zero personal use.

No, just that much taxable income from the business where the truck is used. Plus zero personal use, even stopping to pick up a hamburger.

Yep
Basically, you get to exclude income that paid for the vehicle making it like other expenses.

It's a website glitch. They don't show in the initial menus but I saw them on the site just last week. Can't remember what screens I saw them on but they are our there. The sales folk find them easily, they showed me several foundation beasts

you cannot get a 2024 FS AWD in the US
only 2 2024 FS Cyberbeasts remain on the East Coast for sale with 0% Financing
there are NO FS AWD anywhere available in the US

sounds right, there were only 6 available last week. But used ones abound. I found several low mileage (under 10k) used FS Beasts for mid 80s and bought one. Won't have lifetime free supercharging but I would have to drive a lot to use $20k of charging.

listed for sale?
2024 Foundation Series AWD?
are you seeing them listed, or are you seeing them in person?
Meaning Cybertrucks are completely sold out within a 200KM radius in my area. No more FS and if you order a CB or AWD, you won't get one until July-August.

I see new cybertrucks daily now on the streets, before it was a rare sighing to see 1 but now I see 3-4 a day. Sales are definitely accelerating.

Ever since I put in my Beast order I've been checking the "local" stock of foundation series in my area and for at least a week there has been nothing. Right now a single Beast SKU turned up and is available, but no AWDs have been available in weeks.

thanks for the tip, i will take that into consideration
Friend powered his cabin for two weeks during hunting season using his CT, every few days when they went into town they went out to eat at a restaurant near the supercharger.
He got a message from Tesla noting the unusual activity and said if it occurred again his free supercharging would be removed. Would be careful doing it
