I'm initially concerned about protection. Vandalism. Protecting the stainless steel etc. Then ...what are the best accessories to get? Thanks in advance.

with summer here, a front windshield sun shade, better clear UV protecting tint if owned
of course mats, if you dont have any, Tuxmats or 3D are the best
for me, left and right magbak phone/display mounts
matte glass protection, front and rear
arm rest cover, seeing the front corners wearing on demos
center console drop in trays
cup holder inserts for spill protection
frunk net for minimizing movement of bags in front
Long CCS 400 kw CCS adapter for when you cannot get to a Tesla SC
(have your mobile charger with you always/14-50)
mud flaps, front and rear
behind front display shelf is great for glasses
spare tire kit if you intent on long road trips, drop tarp for being on the ground
if you haul, want to protect the bed, bed mat
research out of spec detailing, the stainless cleaning regime and supplies

of course Starlink mini mounted to the glass if you go off grid
front center floor bin if you pack stuff

Why is that? Can I use part of it for music storage and the rest for Sentry and dash cam?

Some things I have done and learned so far:

- Use Sentry Mode often and allow it to give you some peace of mind. The reality is very different from what you see in the news.
- The steel is tough and doesn't need extra protection. The more I see cars or trucks that got into mini crunches, scuffs, dings, the more I am reminded that I don't have to worry about the little stuff.
- I was babying it and cleaning fingerprints every other day for the first few weeks, now I just let it fly until I'm ready to wash.
- Consider a wrap for the look, not the protection, and consider DIY.
- Get some window tints.
- Center console organizer, I really like the TWRAPS one. https://twraps.com/products/floor-s...Tp0NMLueSKH2YI4ysDVjzc1rLxiIt2FMQ_Ae1_D7SB9jO
- Frunk cargo net.
- Maybe a spare.
- Ignore the haters.
- Enjoy the fans.
- Have fun!

Congrats!

I've had mine for over a year and think it comes pretty well equipped. Of course mine is a Foundation Series which came with all-weather mats, two dividers for the Smugglers bay, some L-track cleats, USB stick, interior sun shade for the roof, Mobile Connector, etc. I'm not sure they come with all those items now.

Most people won't need much else beyond basic items the Foundation models came with, a tire plugging kit and a basic 120V tire inflator if you want more self-reliance in the event of a puncture. I put an off-road recovery kit in mine for either self-rescue or to pull others out of a sticky situation, but I wouldn't consider that essential for most people. Nice to have in rural areas, especially if you want to use your Cybertruck to rescue others when the need arises.

After that, any special accessories that are peculiar to your personal usage.

That's quite a list @kpanda17 , I've interspersed some thoughts of my own:

with summer here, a front windshield sun shade, better clear UV protecting tint if owned
I'm intrigued with a windshield shade although it doesn't seem too necessary where I live in the PNW. My Cybertruck lives out-of-doors 24/7 so I would get one if I found one that was effective and easy enough to deploy/remove that I would actually use it. But the ones I've seen don't look worth it (to me).

of course mats, if you dont have any, Tuxmats or 3D are the best
I like all-weather mats in all my vehicles to contain water, snow and occasional mud. I'm happy with the function and looks of the mats that came with the Foundation Series but maybe there is something better out there.

for me, left and right magbak phone/display mounts
For me, the Cybertrucks dual phone holders/wireless chargers are all I need. Less stuff is good.

matte glass protection, front and rear
My wife and I have had 5 Tesla over 8 years and have never felt any of the screens, front or back (when equipped) have needed protection. I can't say I've ever noticed a scratch on any of them. Time and money saved and I get to use a touchscreen without a plastic film on it.

arm rest cover, seeing the front corners wearing on demos
It's only been a year but I can't say I see the need to protect the armrest. For sure, if you know you are particularly hard on interiors, them protect all the heavy wear areas.

center console drop in trays
I would definitely get a single drop-in tray for the center console if mine didn't come equipped with one.

cup holder inserts for spill protection
I can't say I spill drinks enough to benefit from that. Sure, I did get a small coffee slosh in the cupholders and it was a little difficult to clean off the spill while leaving the OEM rubber liner in place, but it wasn't a big deal using a damp rag. The liner is difficult if you need to remove it to clean it.

frunk net for minimizing movement of bags in front
Agree. But I like the net in the back of the bed to make small loads easy to load/unload.

Long CCS 400 kw CCS adapter for when you cannot get to a Tesla SC
I've been driving and road-tripping Tesla for almost 8 years without a CCS adapter. In the early years I can see the utility of that (even though I did fine without). However, the Supercharger Network has grown leaps and bounds since then, and a CCS adapter is less useful than it's ever been. I would need a very specific use case to want to complicate my life with third-party charge network accounts and software tools to find and select a CCS DCFC, inconsistent or unreliable chargers, etc. Superchargers are integrated into the center screen and the Nav System and can be counted on to work.

(have your mobile charger with you always/14-50)
I feel better if I have a Mobile Connector when I'm on a trip but I've barely ever used it. For driving locally it's simply not needed.

mud flaps, front and rear
I drive through all kinds of mud and winter road slop and don't really see the benefit. Sure, they keep a bit of it off the body panels but that's of limited benefit because your truck is still going to get dirty enough to need a wash eventually.

spare tire kit if you intent on long road trips, drop tarp for being on the ground
It's easier to plug and inflate a tire than it is to change a 100+ lb. wheel/tire. I just carry a plug kit and tire inflator for the rare chance that I might get a flat in a remote location. Spare tires were the rule back in the day, now I think they are overkill for a host of reasons.

if you haul, want to protect the bed, bed mat
The bed is super tough and damage resistant without additional protection. I haul a lot of stuff and think extra protection is only needed if you have a particularly problematic load, like sand, gravel, beauty bark, etc. in which case I would just line the bed area with a poly tarp.

research out of spec detailing, the stainless cleaning regime and supplies
In my opinion, OoS Detailing takes the chemicals too far. They don't seem to understand how to keep your truck looking nice with minimal work and without all the chemicals they recommend.

of course Starlink mini mounted to the glass if you go off grid
Good idea, but only if you want to remain connected in areas without cellular coverage or you need higher data bandwidth than cellular..

front center floor bin if you pack stuff
I pack stuff all the time and I haven't seen a floor bin that improves functionality (for my needs). I like keeping that area open for medium sized bags. I do wish the sides were an inch or so taller.

Definitely customize it to your own specific needs, keeping in mind that sometimes less is more.

While I was being shown around my new truck, I dropped kicked the rear quarter panel in front of sales person named Austin. His jaw hit the pavement!! Me: You never seen anyone drop 100k then Kick the f**k out of it? Austin: NO! Me: Your welcome!
It’s a truck and I will be using it as such. Can’t be scared to scratch or dent it!!

screen protectors front and rear, behind screen storage, the entire Abstract Ocean Xpel armor kit, sun visor extensions from amazon, tint the front windows, Tesla ceiling glass shade, 3D printed starlink mini mount and pair w/suction cups from amazon, frunk net w/l-track from Tesla, and personally I love the Tesla Cyber Cooler (but I'd never *pay* for it, used credits from a friend buying a model Y), SSD for sentry mode.
The only other thing I'd absolutely recommend if you don't get them included would be the all-weather mats. I can't imagine trying to keep carpet mats clean in this lol

Congrats!

I’d recommend reading the owners manual (or have it handy for reference when needed). The other thing that could be of interest is the Service Manual.

Don’t worry about vandalism. It’s made to be worse online. Just enjoy the most amazing vehicle made. ?

What every else says about worrying less about the vandalism. There was a moment in time when it was more of a concern, but life, and the news cycle, moves fast these days. Just this week I've had 3 people chat with me about the truck, and (a) I don't put a lot of miles on it, and (b) I for sure don't seek out the attention.
