Hey just wanted to know if this was normal?

My CT is set to 80% max charge, I went away for a week long vacation and left it plugged in the whole time.

the stats say it charged between 2-10 kWh each day

does that sound about right to you guys?

He hot was it? Cabin overheat on? Inside or outdoors? Sentry?

Cabin overheat protection on at 30 degrees celsius

no sentry mode on at home

weather was fluctuating around 28-32 C all week

I’m not concerned about the daily charge but just wondering if that’s about right for peace of mind, first time I left the CT plugged in for a week straight

Probably wouldn’t be surprised if mine did that. Especially if the sun was out.
The temp is pretty modest but sun can play a role in that and tint also.
Also, at home it’s usually connected to WiFi so potentially downloading stuff.
Doesn’t seem crazy to me.

COP is only active for ~12 hours after the last drive. It's intended to keep the cabin at a reasonable temperature while you're making trips, so that it can be quickly returned to a comfortable range.

I left my truck for 18 days and lost 7% the whole time (from 16% SoC down to 9%). I left it plugged in "just in case" but it never needed to charge.

It is not normal to use 10kWh a day! My whole house was using about 12kWh a day! That much drain suggests the truck never went to sleep.

It's possible that Sentry was active anyway, if GPS was confused or your saved "home" location was not set. It should be simple enough to check.

Thanks Gus. I didn’t know it turned off after 12hrs. Useful info. Especially in my home town of Phoenix in the summer.
2-10kwh/day is a big range. Was it 10kwh only on one day? Or every day?

So about 15-20 miles of range loss per day.
Maybe there is something wrong with mine too Gus but it doesn’t seem that shocking.

I noticed the battery is draining much faster after the recent updates.

The CT definitely has more phantom drain than other models. I can leave my model Y unplugged for a few days and it will lose a percent or two tops, the CT will lose that and more in a day. Same settings for both at home, no sentry, no overheat, both on the same wifi, etc...

I got home today from a two week vacation. My truck was at 80% when I left and I turned the charge limit down to 50% so it wouldn’t charge while I was gone. It was at 70% today.

I have an eGauge power meter monitoring the circuit for the UWC. There is a constant four watt draw while idle which adds up to 96 watt hours a day.

Here is a graph of daily energy consumption during the two weeks:
Tesla Cybertruck Left CT plugged in for a week while on vacation, 2-10kWh per day IMG_1183

Looks like it sat idle for all but one night. I was expecting the truck to draw more shore powder to save battery consumption.

Noticed this as well. Compared to my MYP and wife’s MYLR, the phantom drain on the Cybertruck is way too much.

So why do we think this is? Is it because of the size of the battery and the hardware around it or is it because it’s still running immature software? If it’s the latter we can expect an improvement over time.
That was definitely the case with our 2016 model x back in the day. It got SO much better at charging and maintaining charge over the years it was hard to believe.
Or is it something else entirely?
