Does it bother anyone else when people assume the Cybertruck is being “given away”?

No it's the complete opposite for me. They think it's really expensive. Maybe it depends on the area? In Florida everyone asks me what my job is lol

Lease was like $588/mo if you can handle 10k miles a year and a call after to take it back for more money ?

I get the "you must be made of money" response excusively. I've never, ever heard anyone say anything about clearance prices on the Cybertrucks.

I literally could not care what anyone says to me at this point about the truck. If someone wants to ask questions I’m happy to engaged with them. If they want to just say random stupid shit I ignore them.

Ever since I took delivery, I've heard a lot of

“Wow, you must’ve gotten a deal”

or

“Bet they’re trying to give those away”

Lol actually my personal experience was one available in my area that matched what I wanted. I didn’t get any discount, but good incentives were available at the time, but really nothing crazy and certainly nothing that really swayed my decision.

I've been messing with people and saying "yeah I got a free generator for my home included with it". A guy at my work today was like "no way really?!" ?

Odd how many people think the CT is some kind of sales failure because of media outlets that clearly hate Elon. Meanwhile, nobody mentions the Ram 2500 sitting for over 200 days on lots, or the Titan getting discontinued, or the Hummer EV that’s unsellable. Even the F-150 has way more inventory sitting than it should.

CT isn’t perfect, but it’s VERY different, and people are still buying it, with no "discounts". I'm actually pretty impressed by that.

Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience or thought process lol
Well mine was 2.25 bitcoin the day I had to pay for it, but I shorted the dollar and now the purchase price is 1.35 bitcoin, finance charge included…so I got 40% off, but only because I’m not a sucker using dollars for storing my life’s work…I only use dollars for debt.

People are silly. Then again, the "unsellable" Hummer EV is selling as well as the CT.

Haha I shouldn't have said unsellable. Just pointing out that they sit for a long time, and are discounted to extreme levels to sell. I guess my point is, Hummer gets a pass on these discussions because their CEO isn't Elon, it seems.

Oh well. I try not to argue with these people who genuinely believe Elon is the devil. Idiots can drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I tell them yeah run to Tesla there giving them away at a deep deep discount. The funny thing here in NCAL I'm getting corvettes pulling up to me slapping there throttle I guess wanting to race. I just look at them and shake my head. When I took delivery there was only one new CT available within 300 miles. Plenty Demo's but there pretty much all gone as well

Maine Habs fan, what? There are two of us? Just installed my interlock and receptacle yesterday, to use my CT as a generator replacement, ha!

I love the "Avoid Getting Rear Ended" bumper sticker collection!

I honestly believe CT's get rear ended so much because of both the small taillights, and the large FLAT rear end.

I'm actually contemplating installing a bunch of reflective Chevron stickers on the tailgate to increase its visibility.

Either that or the white reflective stickers like we have on our big rigs on the back of our cabs and on the back of the trailers.

yeah I got that a few times and it was annoying. I just told them about the current incentives and how Tesla doesn't do individual dealings. I also pull the "lol where do you get your news from?" because it's obviously wrong and I'd like to avoid it

Ummm...why do you believe that Cybertrucks get rear-ended more than any other car?

I doubt the data shows that, I think you are just gullible to false narratives. What is your source?
