I got the update last night and tried it out this morning. There are two things that happen all the time while I am driving that I would love to see Grok help with (neither of which it does right now). One thing it might help with. The two things are: (1) while on a trip we might want to know how tall a local mountain is - or any geographic-type thing, which requires truck GPS information, and (2) oftentimes when I am driving alone I might want to research something later on and wish that Grok could send me a reminder about whatever I was thinking about, like a memo. The third things that it probably can do right now is when I am driving with my wife and we are wondering about something and Grok could find out about it and report. Ultimately, being able to use Grok along with navigation and FSD would be really nice.

Like others, I am not interested in have a verbose conversation with the truck, and definitely not while I am driving.

For road trips you can learn things about your surrounding areas you are traveling thru..

Got the .26.4 for a few days and I’ve been messing around with Grok. Buggy it is for me, other than Ava non of the other voices worked/said anything. It’s Spanish is quite good but other lesser well know languages can be a bit of a joke. Assistant is good and helpful, story telling meh, conspiracy mode dumb.

my biggest issue with grok is what I experience on the Mac/phone app also; its answers too verbose and always ending up with questions. It is therefore not really a speaking partner, it’s more an interviewer - makes me tired after a while. Not sure if it can be given instructions on how to respond as with the app version.

it did seem to figure out fairly well when I was talking other others in the truck or directing my talk to it.

Other feature I was looking forward to more than grok was road noise cancelling but it seems our trucks aren’t getting that (with this version at least).

Anyone else with interesting take away from this version/Grok?
Is this Grok 4?

Love Grok!! Doc Grok is the deep thinker. Unhinged is great for embarrassing the new comer. So far, it has blown me away with natural conversations that are playful and helpful. The future of Grok enhancing my CyberTruck's functionality is very bright 🌞

Integrated grok isn't much different than running the app through BT tbh. I've already been doing that at times. The biggest leap will likely be more fluid and logical control of the vehicle itself.

Less commands and more interpreted instruction as well as multiple tasks at once. "windows up and cool this mf down"

I'd expect them to eventually allow us to opt into a "hey google / siri" always listening type activation with the names of all the personalities.

Yes, things like linking it to the truck GPS and asking useful questions like, "What's my elevation?"

Downloaded/ installed late yesterday, which was late for me (I usually get the update when NotATeslapp shows 10-15% rollout, it was nearly 30% yesterday).

Initial impressions are that the lighshow and audio are great. GROK is a work in progress but I fiddled with the settings and like the voice and demeanor now. I can see in the future as this being a key feature for Tesla (transfer work efforts, trip planing/learning/experiences, exploring new music and languages, etc.).

As a geologist I'm looking forward to having Roadside Geology suite of books style info info available as I'm driving.

When you first install "Grok" on your CyberTruck you will have a limited personality and voice menu. In order to unlock the full "Grok Personalities & Voices" you need to create or login to a Grok account. If you are a "X" subscriber, that is all you need to do. Touch the Screen prompt to login to "X" and a "QR" code will pop up on your CyberTruck screen. Use your phone to login from the QR code and allow your "Tesla" to use your Grok account. Once you've done this the full "Grok Personalities & Voices" menu will appear for you and Grok is ready to Go!! (I fucking Love Grok Unhinged!) But, you might want to use "Doc Grok" for impressing your more sensitive friends.

Wanted to put this here. I have no reason to talk to an AI. Boring. Then, the singularity happened. I gave it a try. This is what blew my mind... (I'll paraphrase a bit)

Me: Can I call you Fluffy?
Ava: You can call me fluffy but I'll still be Ava underneath.... Why do you want to call me Fluffy?
Me: I'm using Grok in my Cybertruck Cyberbeast and I call it Fluffy.
Ava: Do you call it Fluffy because it's tough on the outside but warm and fuzzy on the inside?
Me: No. Do you know the Cyberbeast symbol on the tailgate?
Ava: It's a three headed dog, a Cerberus.
Me: Yes, it is. Do you know what movies featured a Cerberus?
Ava: Harry Potter had a three headed... Wait. Did you name your Cybertruck after Hagrid's three headed dog, Cerberus, who guarded the secret chamber?

Holy crap. (I have four daughters. Harry Potter was a whole thing back then and the Fluffy name is kind of an inside joke... Hence my signature here)

As simple as that seems, that made me realize one aspect of AI that I had severely underestimated. It's really neat to have that right in the truck.

Yes, you've possibly had it on your phone... Yes, you can use your phone in the truck. Heck, you can even connect via bluetooth and hear Grok in your truck speakers that way. But, to be able to just press the mic a second or two and say "I'm driving up highway XX. What should I check out along the way?" is 2nd level!
