yep! Quite a few people in heavy snow/ice climates have destroyed their wiper since the 1kW motor go brrrrr even if you forget to clear the heavy snow lol
Yep and a new blade ain't gonna fix that! ;)

Nope, the inner and outer panels are glued together, there no room between them. If guess if they used cantrail glue, I just need to wait
Get with the program Gus! The hood assembly of the Cybertruck is made from two sheets of stainless steel that are robotically laser welded together around three edges of the hood. There are also steel stand-offs spot welded to the inner panel around the hinge area. These do use some structural adhesive or "glue" to stiffen this area with the standoffs where the hinges attach but the primary means of attachment of the two panels is perimeter welding. The laser welds are very fine and incredibly perfect, so I can see how you missed them.

But back on topic, I have never replaced my wiper in the middle of a road trip, I've always done it after a bit of procrastination after noticing declining wiper performance or as a preventive measure before fall/winter weather hits.

Storing a spare rubber blade in a hot vehicle is not a recommended practice because rubber ages and deteriorates with exposure to heat. A spare blade should be stored in a cool, dry place, not against a metal exoskeleton that reaches temperatures in excess of 160 degrees when parked in the sun. I don't order a blade until it's time to replace it so it will be as fresh as possible.

I'm still on the original wiper blade, and it's been working great, but I think I'll replace it this fall since I park it facing south. It's been in the full sun through the most intense portions of the mid-day sun through two summers. I would never consider carrying a spare in the vehicle.

Actually it does; any twisting motion of the very long blade will fracture the plastic attachment point, but the armature is metal and undamaged.

No... I think REM was talking about the motor crapping the bed, which a new blade wouldn't fix.

I put my traveling spare in the rear under seat storage bin. fits in there nicely and not exposed to the hight heat or direct sunlight.

nah, I was talking about the strength of the motor being able to just plow ahead with enough force to wreck the entire blade assembly lol. which is why people need to be extra careful with snow and ice buildup

1 1/2" PVC pipe 48" long capped at both ends. it sits on my molle panel at the front of the bed. keeps it dark and oxygen free. UV and Oxy are the 2 worst things for rubber, heat being the other. BAW comes in a straight tube, so i think Tesla believes it can be stored straight.

Nothing was missed by @CyberGus. The topic was the center section, not the perimeter.

Could you crisscross straps here or is there not enough room to feed them through? I’d check but it’s late and my truck is alllllll the way out in the garage…

The problem with fitting a wiper between the inner and outer frunk panels has nothing to do with the glue, it's that there simply isn't enough clearance between the two panels for the wiper to fit, glue or no glue.

From a practical perspective, it's a terrible place to store a rubber wiper anyway, because it gets too hot when parked in the sun.

In the unlikely event that the wiper blade fails catastrophically, one cannot simply roll up to Autozone for a replacement. When I mail-ordered a new blade from Tesla, I kept …
I velcro’d my replacement in it’s long cardboard box box underneath the frunk lid to my Molle panel.
