complete opposite. Elon doesn't promise anything, he predicts and in most cases Tesla delivers more than most people should expect.

If you are displeased with the progress of FSD, then perhaps you should go try SuperCruise, or Bluecruise, RAP, etc.
I think he's sincere but chronically over optimistic.
I also develop products and I have the same problem.
I'd rather be that way than the behemoths that never miss a dead line because the hardly commit to anything.

You can’t compare Supercruise or Bluecruise to FSD. FSD is way more advanced

If they are indeed predictions and not promises, he is pretty bad at it then.

You are joking, right?

You're talking about a highway only lane assist vs FSD? That's comparing apples to hand grenades. It, much like Blue Cruise, is compable to AutoPilot, but not FSD.

Toyota has partnerships to begin work on a FSD like software, but it's years out.

Toyota wouldn't agree with you.

They announced a partnership with Nvidia and Waymo and have goals to create their own FSD-like sofware. AdvancedDrive is considered highway lane assist, much like Ford's BlueCruise.

There's no "research" proving you correct. FSD is a designed to be L3+ where it can control all driving, Toyota's AdvancedDrive is not. It's ignorant to say elsewise. If you believe highway lane assist with the ability to change lanes is all you need, you can have an opinion that you prefer AdvancedDrive or Blue Cruise, but those products aren't competing with FSD or near as complex as what FSD can do.

Says Elon:

Once we confirm real-world safety of FSD 14, which we think will be amazing, the car will nag you much less.
Awesome!!!

Sorry, man, not even close. I can use FSD from my driveway, through the woods, through town, through roundabouts, through parking lots, and to the store. And back.

Toyota isn't in the same ballpark.

From Toyota:

Where can I use Advanced Drive?
Advanced Drive2 is only available on mapped, limited access roadways.

What is a limited access roadway?
A limited access roadway has on and off ramps, does not have stop lights, and is a divided roadway on which traffic in the opposing direction is separated by a barrier or other median.

What is a mapped roadway?
Advanced Drive relies on HD map data. Certain roadways or portions of roadways may not have current HD map data. In these areas where HD map data is not available, Advance Drive will also not be available.

Visit www.Toyota.com/Mirai/Teammate to view an interactive map showing which roadways are supported with HD map data.

Like I said, Toyota doesn't agree that it's system is more advanced than FSD. That's why they are making huge investments to create something that competes with FSD, but it's years away.

Again, it's not apples to apples. FSD is made to drive everywhere and handle all tasks. The NHTSA has forced Tesla to increase the monitoring because of the capabilities of the system. AdvancedDrive, Blue Cruise, Super Cruise are never going to try to drive off the interstate, obey traffic lights, do uturns.... It's less ambiguous to the driver what is occurring because they are limited to a specific type of driving.

There's no real data of which is safer. Tesla would say theirs is, but that doesn't matter...it's not comparable and certainly not as "advanced".

Ok then. We welcome your tailored predictions.

Tell us, if Elon misses the mark on 6 weeks for FSD 14, can you give us a technical breakdown as to why? Don't forget to include the extreme regulatory red tape hurdles that keep getting tossed in at the last minute before a new rollout.

Looking forward to your analysis.
