Is it just me, or am I wrong to expect a loaner car for my six figure CyberTruck that needs to have recall work done to it? They stated in my appointment scheduled for the 18th that it won’t be done until the 19th and that no loaner car will be provided, but I am welcome to wait?! When I asked them why I would not be provided a loaner car, they said it’s first come first serve and we may not have one. Am I missing something?!

Typically, it’s first come first serve for the loaner vehicles. For my CT appointments, I’ve only gotten a loaner 50% of the time. Depending on the service center you can also ask for uber/lyft credits.

I dropped my CT off for tire rotation and cant rails an hour ago. The appt said no loaner, but they gave me a test drive M3 for three hours when I got here. I guess it is based on availability, no reservations.

Two observations on the Model 3:

1) I almost crashed into the car in front of me when I pulled out of it's parking space. Forgot how much you need to turn steering wheels on non-CTs! Jeezus, how do people live with that...

2) FSD 12.3.9 on the new Model 3 makes the CT version of 12.3.9 feel really clumsy. It's super smooth on the M3.

Given how much difference there is in driving a conventional car vs the CT, I guess I can see how it'll take some tuning to normalize FSD across the models.

Same here. Cantrail and lightbar. Drop it off at 10AM and pickup the next day at 5PM. I explained I live an hour away to see if they could get me a loaner or to see if I could do a 24 hour test drive on a model X. Now that the wife loves our truck she wants a Tesla. They said they would check. I also offered to reschedule to a different time when I could have a loaner. Not sure it will work, but worth a shot.

Follow-up. I was told last night they would see if they could help. Just checked my appointment and a loaner has been assigned. In another thread somebody recommended asking. It worked for me. Thank you Tesla.

Just had the cant rails replaced today. Dropped off the ct at 8:15 and it was done before noon. They didn’t give me a loaner either but instead I got a demo. That demo happened to be a 2025 X. Man is that car quick and fast ! Probably the quickest car I’ve ever driven. Would I trade it for my ct no but it sure was fun to drive. Question is that when I picked up my ct I noticed that on the drivers side between the windshield and can’t rail on the bottom where the wiper housing is there is no weather stripping and you can see a couple of the nuts and bolts where the new cant rail was installed. The other side (passenger) that little piece goes all the way down and covers the nuts and bolts So you don’t see them. I went and got a technician and they said all of them have it. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this. Thanks

Beware: I also live about 80 miles from my SC and was "given" an overnight loaner. When you go to sign the paperwork, you are signing that you will not put more than 100 miles on the vehicle. I asked, "that's per day, right?" No, TOTAL. But I live 80 miles away - one way. I was told I would be charged for extra mileage. Well, thanks for nothing. Had to get a friend to drive 160 miles round trip to pick us up. If we had known, we would have driven our other car.

I LOVE Tesla vehicles, I ABSOLUTELY DETEST Tesla service. This is our 4th Tesla and NEVER, EVER had a reasonable service experience. When folks ask me about buying a Tesla, I always warn them of the service they will receive (or, NOT receive).

Mine was done today too. I noticed the same as you and I also noticed it wasn’t as flush as my previous ones. So I walked around the lot and yes, they all look like mine.

I had a similar situation when I took my CT in for wireless charger update - they bumped the miles allowed to 250 as it was going to take a couple days and I had a work trip. It all depends on the SC person and your best puppy face...I mean your toughest, most strictest - you are going to give me what I want tone. Yeah, the latter for sure.

When I went in for wiper fix, they gave me a model 3 loaner. For my Model Y they gave me 100 uber credits because they didn't have a loaner available and work was under warranty.

Was informed this is the norm by the CT tech lead at my location. Mine is similar.

I had no idea they limited the mileage. I drove to flagstaff and back once from Phoenix in the model x they loaned me and nobody said a word.
First I have ever heard that.
The supercharging on them is also free.
Am I mistaken?

Same situation for me when I had my cantrails replaced a couple of weeks ago - no loaner was guaranteed, but they gave me a Model Y when I asked for one at the service center.

My appointment was for the first slot in the morning at 8:30AM, the service manager said they usually have loaners available early in the day, so I'm planning to pick the earliest slot for any future service visits.

Just took mine in yesterday for extra slat, some squeaks, charger replacement. I requested a Model X loaner, a week before the appointment, and they gave it to me, plaid actually. Reschedule and tell the, you can’t until you get a loaner.

on a related note, I told them not to do my cant rails, then they offered me $300 in store credit to do my rails, I still turned them down, and they said ok we’ll take them off the service request. Then they just let me know they replaced them. I’m pretty livid about it, I now have to drive around in a partially wrapped truck.

EDIT:
The service report said they had replaced the can't rails, but after messaging them, they have not replaced them.

Same here I don’t know when I’ll have the availability to get it done.
