I appreciate all the feedback, sincerely.

I raised and lowered the air suspension a total of 3 times. All of which took around 3 or so to do so.

For added info, When I first brought it to the attention of the advisor, they said it was normal for the air suspension to take minutes and interrupted the initial raising to show me how fast it would lower. I believe based on all the feedback here that most would agree that it is not normal, and at minimum cause for question.

I have been impressed with how courteous the tesla employees are, but also disappointed with how they (I perceive) they pressure the delivery and seem to say whatever it takes to complete the process and move on to the next.
Thats their job. They are the bin part of the tesla vehicle vending machine.

It took 3 minutes each of those 3 times?

If the reservoir is low (I haven't figured out the logic to prefill it), the suspension raise rate is dependent on the pump and it does take over two minutes to go from entry to high. If the truck isn't moving, that increases the time due to tire scrub loading (can also lead to overshoot when it does move).

If the tank is full and the truck started off with a higher stance, it can raise much faster.

A little off topic but was wondering...is this a closed-loop system or open to the atmosphere? I see there is a fill port in the side and the service manual mentions nitrogen but was wondering if anyone knew.

Open
The fill port is just for service pre-charge/ leak testing.

I think this is air based not nitrogen, as you can hear the air being vented when lowering

I've had my CTFS for 1.5 months, and it's been in the shop for 2 weeks, and I'm looking at another week. The front drive unit was replaced, and the air suspension was replaced once and possibly again. They just told me today that if you go through the car wash, water gets into the air suspension system. I said, what's the point of having car wash mode or fording through puddles and creeks in off-road mode if it loses air suspension just from getting a little water?

I've not gone off roading. What type of system did they design if a car wash leaks and crashes the air suspension? Stainless steel body with rice paper air suspension? AWD only with dry weather and zero puddles?

You went through a car wash? It's a miracle you weren't electrocuted!

The air intake is under the bed floor, above the drive unit. There's a filter on the compressor that should resist water droplets, and you'd need to be practically floating before it got submersed. There's actually an "air inlet line" to the compressor, so I'm not exactly sure where the air intake resides. The fill port under the right-rear wheel is only for charging the reservoir tank with nitrogen.

If they've determined that the suspension system was damaged by water, then there is a malfunction somewhere. It is not something you did. The truck can get wet without breaking lol

Yeah, the intake snorkel is high up in the right sail area. Shouldn't get wet unless it's out of position or disconnected at the pump.

Huh. Youd think that would be something theyd point down toward the ground to prevent water from above.. or at least put some kind of water shield over.

Ok im having the same issue as the original poster and wishing I hadn’t accepted delivery because I noticed it right away and accepted the sales reps response that I can get it fixed afterwards. Bottom line looking at service mode takes 2 to 3 minutes to raise from entry level to high. The system starts at one bar compressor kicks in right away. It keeps cycling between the front and back suspension whereas my understanding is it’s supposed to rise concurrently in all four areas. It peaks around nine bars of pressure so the fact that you guys were getting 17 bars is incredible and when the system cuts out and the compressor stops right away, it drops immediately to one bar which would imply the pressure is not being maintained in the system. It’s been in the shop for 28 days now they didn’t refill it properly with nitrogen and didn’t have the correct equipment to refill it at the warminister Tesla service area. I get the thermal protection warning after three cycles which seems low. I’ve had cases where the raise has taken five minutes. Supposedly the compressor and the manifold have been replaced. But the Tesla tech refuses to provide any sort of diagnostic logs and said they pressure tested it. One quick question I have for all of you is I can see the gallery pressure in service mode but how do you guys get the reservoir pressure and what should it be and I’ve done these tests both are the fresh start and after running the vehicle for about 15 minutes, so the reservoir should’ve been recharged.. after my last test in service mode I got a warning for the right front spring being under pressure potentially a leakat this point. I’m really frustrated. I have the tecs saying officially. It’s in spec. But privately, indicating there may be an actual design flaw, and for the cyber beast in particular, which is heavier if the system is underpowered for it, it could explain a lot, but why it’s cycling all the time. I have two quick questions for the group how to get reservoir pressure on service mode and when you load the bed up properly say to 1000 pounds plus have you seen the compressor having to struggle to go up thanks
