I'd love FSD to be able to figure out a relocated rear cam; but, how come it can't figure out not to hug the left lane line, or run over to the rumble strip?

Edit: If you read the twitter thread, it seems to work, until it doesn't.

You know, the type of people who rely on “reviewers” that dm a stranger in china for an opportunity to enter a raffle maybe resulting in a handout.
Hmmm, I wonder who and what thread we are talking about here. No way it could be about a particular center console power thingy that many of us won and then lost and then won again, only to say thanks but no thanks in the end 🤣

Thanks. Thats exactly the post I meant. Couldn’t remember where I had seen it.
do you know how he did it ? Extension cable, recalibration etc?
I moved my camera when I installed the Wilco Offroad spare tire carrier back in March 2024 by just disconnecting camera and rerouted the wiring harness which is long enough to reach the tow hitch and made a permanent mount on receiver which works with no calibration, issues, faults of any king and FSD works great still. Theres a post about it all somewhere here but it was easy to do.

That’s really nice. Can you show some more detail of the camera relocation please?
🙏(high five)

I moved my camera when I mounted the Wilco Offroad version of tire carrier with bike rack mount back in March 2024 to the top of the receiver using a 2x4 inch square stock steel tubing and put camera inside that to protect from basically anything. No need to add wire, just re routed the wire harness to the new location.

you'll see the 2 inch steel square stock I put the camera in on top of receiver if you zoom in. It was easy
