It's a three piece system whose main reinforcement is indeed held on by M6 bolts, 14 of them. Even using lower grade 4.6 and looking at the shear strength of the threaded portion, that's a total capacity of 12k pounds, 50% more than curb weight, and higher than the vehicle GVWR. Per side. Plus five M8 bolts from the bottom.

As to not being a step, that both maintains stock appearance and reduces required clearance width. Further, use as a step in general puts increased torque loads on undermounted systems which can impinge on the pack itself if not designed correct.

And steps are dumb anyway for CT’s, given the Entry squat function - even my 5’1” wife is happy there are no running boards to dirty her pants - and she loved the automatic running boards on our former super duty trucks.

Picked my truck back up last weekend from this package being installed. Great looking subtle enhancement to the exterior, and I can see what some folks are saying about the drive being improved.

I went from a loaner cyberbeast back to my foundation cyberbeast, and I could definitely feel a difference. Efficiency seems to be about the same. % wise I’m getting to my office at the same number as as I was before the kit was installed.

For those that have this, any evidence of future control arm armor? Like any brackets or holes near the control arms?

Anyone know if those rock sliders would work with the fender flares from UP?

Darn! I've clicked on that "Notify me" link probably a dozen times and didn't get one email from Tesla letting me know it was in stock...

CYBERTRUCKco Makes decent looking ones that use the original bolt holes. They are designing some rear ones now.

Yeah. I ordered some of these. Really like them. I also feel very bad for the company though.
They make awesome American made products and have really been innovators in the Cybertruck space. Super important to the community in general but this Tesla product is ikely going to bring sales for the off-road armor products they make to a screaming halt. Not sure how much they are tied up in manufacturing and inventory but it’s got to hurt.
I still think they have the edge on the camper market but that seems under threat of a significant price undercut too from Urander based on what I’ve read from them.

Yeah the Rival kit was plug and play. Didn’t take long at all to install. Took the stock skid plate off, then the aero covers on the lower control arms. The only issue I had with the Tesla terrestrial package with the Rival plate is I had to loosen the two bolts where the skid plate mounts by the battery pack so I could slide the skid plate in, this made it easier. It would have been better if the terrestrial package was installed after the Rival skid plate but both ways are easily done. Absolutely no modifications were needed.
Just ordered my terrestrial armor. Do you think it’s worth trying to get/install these first @Timthehelipilot ? Worried the SC might give me some grief about installing the terrestrial armor with the aftermarket bits already on there.
