I'm sure they had to meet certain db criteria for a street legal horn.I personally prefer for the CT to sound like a fire truck.
My only concern is how recognizable is the fire truck sound especially traveling at speed when there are multiple environmental sounds on the road. The sound from a real horn component, while not the best sound, is easily recognizable at far distances (perhaps due to horn's frequency?). Because the fire truck sound is created from a speaker and not a horn component, plus since it's not what drivers typically expect, does it properly alert other drivers on the road as a horn should do. Also, how well does the fire truck sound travel in various distances and environments.
They could have given us "La Cucaracha", would have gone with the stainless-steel dumpster meme.
