One other thing, it's not like I'm FUDing here. My first post in the thread was nothing but positive. V14 is overall great and V13 might have done the same or worse. I'm just sharing my experience, good and bad so we can all learn something and discuss our thoughts on the best vehicle on the road today.

Finally got to try v14 out today, although in poor weather here in southern California. At least in this weather, for me it feels like it’s a bit rough around the edges.

In the first ten minutes of using it, while at a traffic light in the slow lane, FSD decided it wanted to go into the left lane after the light turned green, despite there being a car there. I had to take the wheel. Not sure if FSD thought it was avoiding something on the road (nothing was there though) or if the rain is causing issues?

I’m sure FSD would have caught itself before it hit the other car, but as soon as it started crossing the line I wasn’t gonna wait and find out.

after 2 days of using it I am very impressed....mad max actually drives nicely (I thought it would be too aggressive but I find I don't need to supplement throttle while using FSD in that mode)

negatives:
more phantom wipes (not sure why)
it still makes a very rare error (in my case in middle lane with left blinker when it is straight only)
for parking it picks a random spot but not where I would typically park (I would like the end spot when possible)

overall it is much more accurate than before though and really works well

Scared the shit out of me and my GF on a left turn in great weather with clean cameras that otherwise would have been made fine hundreds of times on v13. It jerked the wheel almost out of my hands, beeped loudly for me to take over, and did not prompt me to give feedback about the disengagement.

Seems like the feedback I've been hearing about random swerving is likely accurate in my experience so far.

I took it out for a test this afternoon and I found the steering to be a bit jerky compared to 13.2.9. I also witnessed the braking issue that has been reported on Model Ys. I cannot say whether there has been a model improvement from the limited test I did but I am not any happier with FSD’s attitude than I was before.

as a side note, at one point I disengaged and the rearview camera view went black (it happened a couple of times - very unnerving). I was also unable to restart FSD for about a minute.

i got my update yesterday - first drive felt great, 2nd drive FSD is bricked and camera;'s not showing anything, mousewheel car resets 1x, still nothing, exit car wait 5 minutes, still nothing, trying telsa hot line, on hold for 35 minutes without anyone picking up - meanwhile, service menu - camera calibration, drive around for 30 minutes camera calibration never finalizes and always resets - wake up this morning FSD still bricked and not working.
the reset DAS in the service menu could work.

Updated this morning, but my Rear View Camera blacks out several times after the update, with the Self-Driving button disappearing. It came back each time 30 seconds or so later but it's scary when you rely mostly on the camera to see the back.

anyone else having the same problem?
I am having the same issues, cameras are clean, very frustrating

No major issues in 2 days of using.

It is hesitant on unprotected lefts for me. Sometimes braking quick and then going. Seems unsure of the distances.

On right on red it was better. But tends to miss gaps in traffic that would be fine to take.

Parking can be a game of roulette. Sometimes it picks a good spot. Sometimes it takes a handicap space.

So far I love the speed on standard. It is way less sluggish than the old standard. It's pretty much how I would drive.

That happened on my Juniper and going into the service menu and resetting DAS fixed it. Not sure if that is your issue but it worked for me.

Since the update I’ve noticed a high pitched short noise when I first get in the CT, it definitely wasn’t there before and seems like it’s coming from the dash. Anyone else notice this?

Can’t wait to try MAD MAX mode🤩

I experienced incorrect speed limit data on rural county roads. This caused the self driving feature to speed and I had to turn it off on a few occasions. the update also did not handle a school zone well by speeding up -requiring intervention. Other than that it performs well So far.
