Of course not normal (I too experienced it)...but no need to panic. It is just figuring out. Saw opening...then saw traffic coming...hesitated while processing. I rather it do THAT then just take a leap of faith and gun it!

We do it all the time as humans.......this is AI following human traits as being trained by watching human behavior, right?
Any normal human driver had all the time in the world to make an easy left turn. This jerkiness and hesitancy is a known issue among many users on v14. Humans dont freak out after committing to a turn with that much time. I do believe it’s just overly cautious with these early versions and it will be fixed quickly.

Have you seen Asian drivers? :D (I am Asian...so I can make those jokes!)

I am sure that it will improve...but these stuttering does NOT need for you to take over. It is just figuring out.

There is a bit more hesitancy in v14.1.7 vs. v13.2.9 - for example, v13 was much more likely to blow through a yellow light the same way a human would. So far, v14.1.7 is *much* more conservative about yellow lights, I've had it slam on the brakes a couple of times when it clearly had plenty of time to make it through legally and safely. I'm hoping that's fixed in v14.2, as it's unexpected behavior for drivers behind you.

Woke up early this morning to watch the Las Vegas Formula One replay (I couldn't hang for the late start last night).

On Lap 7, while watching Verstappen lead Russell around the circuit, decided to check the Tesla app on my phone.

2025.38.9.5 (FSD v14.2) must have gone wide, because there it sat, and I'm a nobody. Installing now.

My wifey woke me up at midnight saying “I thought you’ll be up watching the race” lol. I woke up at 4am and just watched the race. McLaren blunders. lol. Still no 14.2 for me. 14.1 is better than 13 imo.

Peace

No dice here.
I think I may be on the subset after 14.2.1 or so.
I do drive a lot of miles - 40k/yr and have FSD on at least 80%...but 14.2 will tell me for sure, so can't wait!
