There are many kinds of plastic. You can crush a water/soda bottle and it will stay intact, as it's very flexible. Conversely, disposable cutlery is fairly rigid but bend it and it will snap. Seems like the Glare Shield is made of the latter material.I took mine in to SC for courtesy cleaning after the software complained it was dirty. The SC had to replace the cover and remount GPS unit inside because they damaged the plastic while performing the cleaning. I don’t think Tesla plastic is meant to get hot or be exposed to direct sunlight…something makes their plastic get brittle after a year or so.
That's perfectly fine, except for the tabs.
So it looks like I might need to replace the Glare Shield periodically, but at least I don't need to replace any spark plugs
