Hey, thanks for the thoughtful questions and for doing the homework in this thread. Totally fair concerns when you’re putting anything electronic on a vehicle you plan to keep 10 to 20 years.

Warranty and life expectancy

You’re right that 1 year is typical in consumer electronics, but we also understand why that feels short for an automotive accessory. Our goal is not sell it and forget it. We support what we build and we keep improving the design based on real world use and feedback.

Software dependency

Two key points here

  1. The CyberBeam system does not rely on Tesla software to function
  2. We added the remote specifically to reduce the need to constantly interact with the app and to give you a reliable hardware control option

The app experience can feel clunky if you’re new to it, but the product itself is not bricked if you are not living in the app every day.

Build method and sealing

We are not breadboarding and tossing it in a box. We build it as an automotive style retrofit assembly and we seal our bars with silicone for moisture protection. The silicone is used intentionally because it provides a durable, flexible seal that holds up better than rigid sealing methods when you introduce vibration, thermal expansion, and daily temperature swings.

We also focus heavily on practical reliability items like strain relief, secure mounting, proper wire routing, and connector integrity since those are common failure points in vehicle electronics.

Also worth noting, we live in the Midwest and we test and run these through some of the harshest weather conditions you can throw at a vehicle, including deep cold, snow, salt, rain, and big temperature swings.

Industry standards and testing

This is the important part, and I want to be careful not to claim certifications we do not formally hold.

We design with automotive best practices in mind, but we are not representing this as officially validated to Tesla proprietary standards or formally SAE certified in the same way a Tier 1 supplier would advertise.

What we do have is real world validation. We test on vehicles in day to day use across weather, car washes, temperature swings, vibration, and normal and aggressive driving conditions. We also track issues when they come up so we can improve sealing, mounting, packaging, and process. That is how V2 was born in the first place.

If you want more transparency without us exposing confidential build details, we can share the general approach and what has changed across versions, plus what behaviors to expect around vehicle power states

Sunshade with Star effects clearance with your Starlink setup

Good question. If your Starlink mount hangs a couple inches below the glass, clearance could be tight depending on where it sits and how far down it hangs. The safest move is to measure the drop from the glass to the lowest point of the Starlink mount and compare it to the available space. If you share that measurement and where it is located on the roof, we can tell you if it is likely to clear or if it would interfere.

Appreciate you again for asking this.
Thanks for the quick reply Daniel, placing order now.
As for the shade, I'll measure and photograph you in a DM

Try using the discount now. Should be updated. Also note the shade shipping takes roughly 45 days as it’s made to order and shipped directly from the manufacturer

No worries - what discount code are you using?
CTOC17

The issue might be that I had set up the order before Christmas (price then was $2850 and the code knocked that down 17%), but today when placed the order it changed the price to $2900, which I understand, I'm late my bad) and eliminated the discount.

Let me try to back out and restart the order from scratch with the code.

EMoeller totally understand and no worries at all.

Tesla increased the cost of the OEM light bars on our end pretty exponentially, so we had to adjust pricing recently which is why you’re seeing the $2900 update.

Also quick update, the old CTOC17 code is no longer active. The current forum code is CTOC15 for 15% off

If you back out and rebuild the order from scratch and apply CTOC15 at checkout, it should apply correctly. If it still doesn’t for any reason, tag me and I’ll get you squared away.

So all versions shipping now will have the remote? Are you able to leave the lights on or use them when the vehicle is off and you step away from it?

So
I’d like to point out something that may or may not be obvious to prospective buyers and respectfully I think is a bit of a marketing miss @CyberGlow .
Since this thing is additive to the standard DRL from Tesla and doesn’t change its function the bright white mode is quite useful. I was quite surprised after installing it and trying it out.
It’s brighter than teslas oem beast bar with both ditch and flood lights on and set to 100%. Key difference though, without any aerodynamic consequence.
So if you’re considering buying a beast bar and sticking it on your car which actually isn’t that straightforward of a process or buying one of the aftermarket bars, this thing should be on your shopping shortlist for comparison too.
Here is a picture demonstrating what I mean. In the photo, the headlights are not on bright, the beast bar is on (flood and ditch) and set to 100%, the car is on so the DRL is on and the cyberglow is set to white and 100% brightness.

That is correct all of the new versions come with a remote. You will be able to use it away from the vehicle if the vehicle is in “camp mode” or “keep” climate settings.

It will stay on for a period of time even if not placed in those mode depending on if your sentry mode detects you near the vehicle or not but once the vehicle sleeps so does the bar.

Heimarch, appreciate the callout 🙏

You nailed something we haven’t highlighted enough. Because CyberGlow is additive to Tesla’s factory DRL and does not replace or compromise OEM function, the bright white mode is extremely useful day to day.

Also appreciate you pointing out the comparison. In your real world test it is brighter than the OEM Beast bar even with ditch plus flood at 100%, with the big bonus of no aerodynamic penalty and without the extra hassle of mounting an external bar.

Thanks again for taking the time to share that and for the photo explanation. Headlights not on bright, Beast bar flood plus ditch at 100%, DRL on, and CyberGlow white at 100%. We’re going to start showcasing this more clearly so people understand it’s not just a cool RGB feature. It’s legit functional output too. 🙌

Going to message you a quick hack as well if you want to turn it up a notch 😉
