If you like the vehicle, why do you care what other people think?
Because my interactions with people are, in part, shaped by how they feel about me.

If a person's first impression of me is what they see and they come to the conclusion that I must make good decisions in my life as evident in part by how I dress, act, and that I drive an iconic legend, they will be biased towards accepting my ideas and friendship.

If a person's first impression of me is that they see me driving a laughingstock, stupid vehicle that public opinion has long soured on, they are less likely to listen to what I say or accepting of my ideas and leery of making friends with the guy who drives "that".

It matters how I feel about my car but it also matters how I think others feel about it.

See I have a different approach to that thought. I live my life for me, if someone doesn't want to be my friend because I own a particular object, then so be it. Love me or hate me, it's all the same to me and I don't lose an ounce of sleep over it. I love my truck, if someone else doesn't - well that's why there are dozens of other models made out there, buy one of those - I'll be more than happy to listen to how great it is from you, regardless of what I think.

That's fair and I wouldn't want friends who only like my things either. I'm talking the subtle things. It already happens from just driving a Tesla or any other car that says "I have some money". I'm fortunate but sometimes want to shop for a bargain. It's hard to get a deal on a table saw when you ride up in an expensive vehicle... for instance. It's just the little things. I can say I don't care if people flip me off as I drive by but it does hurt my feelings a little. Not a lot. But, a little. I'd rather not have that. I've seen very little of that here but some people in this forum have decided they didn't want that kind of negativity.

Anyway, we each have opinions and that's fine. I'd just rather people like what I like rather than poke fun at it or wish me ill because I bought a truck.

Completely understandable. None of us want the hate, or to be judged for buying something, but it is the unfortunate reality we live in. Everyone loves a good bargain, regardless of how much or little you have, but I get the point you are trying to make. As for people flipping me off, I consider it a badge of honor, I am living rent free in their head for the moment. As long as they don't do something stupid like try to run me off the road, were all good. I'm not asking for a lot, I'm not bothering anyone else, I just want to enjoy something I bought because I really like it and it makes ME happy.

No the post was not a reference to any design changes. It was thumbs up to the squircrle
You said you were waiting for the HW5 version to order another CT. Hence my question whether you actually believe that Tesla will invest in significant further CT development given the negative ROI so far.
