I also feel I was mistreated. After all, I ordered early preorder and stepped up and accepted my Foundation Beast with having FSD at the time. Finally got FSD and in the meanwhile, all the people who waited to see how the truck comments and criticisms were, got to order with Lifetime free charging thrown in and the trucks cost them less than the original supporters. NOT FAIR. Come on Tesla, step up and do the right thing. It's not too late to take care of your original supporters.

Offers change all the time, you know this.

Tesla happens to be more transparent. no mysterious dealer holdbacks or trunk money. WYSIWYG. If you don't like what's on offer, don't buy. Same goes for any product or service.

It's not a question of fairness, the incentives changed. The folks who received lifetime supercharging did NOT get the $2,500 powershare vouchers/shop credit. I would have preferred to choose, but that wasn't on offer at the time I purchased. You can always wait for a better deal - sometimes they appear, sometimes not. Heck, the price of the Model S Plaid went up $20K last year which also pulled up resale values on used ones. That's the price of waiting too long.

When Tesla added free supercharge to the truck, I wrote a note to Tesla explaining as loyal supporter, (2014 Model S) how about adding it to my early delivery truck or transfer from my S.

Disappointed to never having the received the curtesy of a response.

Love the technology, not the service or customer service.

I'm in the camp of Tesla SHOULD offer Foundation Series purchasers the ability to either get supercharging FREE -or- the ability to purchase it for a one time charge. We paid the extra premium for the foundation series. We were the original buyers that made the world take note of this new advanced vehicle. We showcase this vehicle every day with pride and let strangers sit in it and brag about it too everyone.

Come on Tesla, we're in this together. Give a little, you'll get a lot in return.

Didn’t all foundations come with lifetime premium connectivity? That was a perk day one.

Supercharging was an extra incentive that came later when non foundations started coming out.
nope,
I have two 2024 FS Cyberbeasts ,
first one came with $2500 in tesla credits to use towards powershare, i ordered June 18, 2024 and took delivery Aug 31, 2024. $129k
the second i ordered June 5th 2025, on the lot in Jacksonville FL, had it devivered to Duluth GA, Picked up June 28 2025, a 2024 FS Cyberbeast, with Lifetime free supercharging , Lifetime free connectivity, no powershare, however zero % financing was the game changer!
$117k out the door for the exact same truck.
i feel robbed on my first cyberbeast.

From my understanding, Powershare = free lifetime supercharging.

When Tesla took away PS, they gave supercharging benefit as replacement.
Well that is another stab in the back I was never offered that I searched for an installer to do the PS installation at my home Lowest quote was like $6400 A far away estimate from the $2000-$2500 they say it should be These were Tesla approved installers I could only get two quotes because other installers wouldn’t even give a return call Not even to say they were too busy or didn’t want to do it I believe I recieved 1500 miles of supercharging which looking back now is a rip compared to getting free supercharging for life How is this “ the right thing to do?” for foundation owners Screw the “ well you made your deal so live with it” I never was contacted by Tesla about being offered supercharging instead of PS Just another poor action (non-action) on their part for early purchasers And if you think I took delivery because I wanted to be “one of the first” that would be wrong I took it because of age and if I waited I may not have been able to get one before I had to quit driving Fake Demand ? Just another diss appointment from Tesla aimed at foundation owners what I would say to Elon ….”Do the right thing!”

I knew what I was signing up for when I bought the Foundation AWD. I knew it would cost less in a few months, I didn't anticipate the future offer of free supercharging, but I really don't use it that much anyway (other than the 4500+ mile trip I just took). I wanted my Cybertruck ASAP and I was willing to pay for it. I am not going to go back now and say, "well, if I had only waited...."
👏 Thank you for being a voice of reasoning.

Everyone had a choice. Some decided to wait for the better deal, others wanted the best truck available ASAP. Neither is right or wrong, but we all had a choice and made our own decisions for our own reasons. Seems wrong to now say "you owe me this" when we all agreed to make the purchase we did at that time knowing full well what we were getting.

Just curious if these same people buy stock and the price drops, do you expect something in return since others bought it for less after you? Imagine if you still bought gas, and the day after you filled your tank up the price dropped $0.10/gallon, you'd have to go back to the store and ask them for something in return since it's not fair...

Count me among them

I waited until the last possible day of my one-year voucher to redeem in case a one-time purchase option became available for unlimited supercharging.

At the end, I knew what I was buying and was comfortable with the price I paid knowing full well lower priced variants would eventually come to market.

As a first time purchaser, I had no idea Tesla would ever offer free supercharging for life as an incentive. Never crossed my mind in the 5 years I waited for my truck. I also dont recall anyone discussing the possibility on this forum while we all waited for deliveries to start. Although I rarely SC, as 99.9% of my charing is done at home, it would certainly be nice to have for road trips. I don't see it the same as a stock purchase or purchasing gasoline. I see it more along the lines of a phone company offering a great package to a new customer, but won't give the same to an existing customer, essentially turning their noses up at the people who are already supporting them. The reality is, there are only so many foundation series trucks on the road and Tesla could easily flip a switch to turn it on. They could even say it's only for the original owners and won't transfer with a sale. I guess what I'm getting at here is that the original foundation series trucks should all have come with free supercharging because offering it up at a later date was a bit of a poke in the eye to those of us who stood by the company and stepped up when our number was called. Just my two cents.

How many of us are there?
IMO we need to pressure Tesla for the perks they gave as demand dropped. I understand we will still be out a ton of money since Tesla dropped the price, lowering resale. But maybe we can get connectivity and supercharging.

Maybe trade in my still on order lightbar?

I bought a Foundation Series AWD and took delivery back in September 2024. I sometimes wonder if I could have gotten a better deal. However, it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. No buyer remorse here!
In 2017, I bought a 2017 Model S P100D with the Ludicrous Speed upgrade. In 2017, it was the fastest 0-60 production car on the road. The editors at Motor Trend reported that they measured 0-60 in 2.228 seconds. It came with free Supercharging for as long as I owned the car. However, I recently read an article about how charging at higher rates reduces battery lifetime. I have not verified this information.
I was thinking about trading in my Model S which has HDW 3, but I recently heard that Elon plans to upgrade Teslas that purchased FSD with HDW 3 to HDW 4 or maybe HDW 4-lite. I don’t think that this will happen until production of the CyberCab is in full swing.
If I upgrade to a new Tesla, I will be looking for HDW 5.
I bought my wife a new 2025 Model 3 Performance for Christmas. It came with a 1 month trial of FSD. I purchased the FSD subscription for her as a Valentine’s Day present after I got notification from Tesla that her one month trial was ending on February 14th, the deadline to purchase the FSD. She is driving to San Francisco in heavy rain today. She called me and thanked me for extending her FSD. She says she feels so much safer with FSD (Supervised).

Why dId you feel that you needed to follow through with this when your number was called? Especially when the price was what... $50k more than originally advertised when you put your deposit down.

You mentioned that you're a first time purchaser but you also mentioned "turning their noses up at the people who are already supporting them" and "those of us who stood by the company". Are you referring to other people?

When my number was called I decided to wait for the $20k price drop and then a little longer for the ev rebate. I'm not saying my way is the right way, everyone's situation is different, but when I weighed all the options in the end it was best for me because I felt it was worth saving ~$30k.

Again, everyone either follows through or doesn't for their own reasons, but I don't understand why people don't own their own choices.

Dispelling a common misconception, the price was NOT $50K higher.

It's both political parties printed dollars at a ridiculous rate to fund the mounting Federal deficits and interest on the mushrooming debt which meant that in just five years each dollar was worth considerably less than when the original unveil happened in 2019. Price stability, long a hallmark of US policy and practice, was quickly evaporated.

So was Foundation Series pricing higher than the unveil indicated? On a real basis, also yes due to the inclusion of FSD, lifetime connectivity and an accessories bundle as well as Powershare.

On a nominal basis, it was even higher. But comparing real dollars is the only valid comparison over time.
