Q1 will be decent now. Not huge, but it'll get a few thousand bump by those who've wanted one but couldn't afford. Long term this won't translate to much. People either hate the style, don't hate it but don't want to be judged by their neighbor/spouse/whoever, or don't realize there's a cheaper model out there now.New $60k version should help bump numbers, which is a very good thing.

Actually, the new trim probably won't affect Q1 at all. Tesla technically reports "deliveries", not "sales". And if you place an order for the new trim now, the Order Page says to expect delivery in June.Q1 will be decent now. Good catch, I didn't scroll down that far.Actually, the new trim probably won't affect Q1 at all. Tesla technically reports "deliveries", not "sales". And if you place an order for the new trim now, the Order Page says to expect delivery in June.
So there won't be any deliveries in Q1, and probably only a limited number in Q2. We'll probably have to wait until Q3 to see the full impact that the new trim has on the numbers.
I think there are a lot of people that the difference between an $80k truck and a $60k truck is a BIG difference.Q1 will be decent now. Agreed, the price difference is big (assuming it holds after 10 days...) but there's a lot of stigma against the brand and specific design.I think there are a lot of people that the difference between an $80k truck and a $60k truck is a BIG difference.
The design and brand stigma is often a way of coping for people that couldn't afford it.Agreed, the price difference is big (assuming it holds after 10 days...) but there's a lot of stigma against the brand and specific design.
Either that -- or else the trim is discontinued. Maybe it was a limited run to use up extra parts that were originally ordered for RWD production (like cloth seats and coil springs). Like a clearance sale.It looks like the price will increase. Seems the consensus will be 69k.
If that's the case then I'm super grateful it happened lolSome manager at the factory probably said hey we got all these extra parts taking up space what do we do? Eventually got back to Elon and he probably said just use them. Then they invented this new trim.
I don't know anything about auto manufacturing but I'm assuming since these are only usable on a Cybertruck the other option is to send them to the garbage. Not sure if that's something they can write off. Maybe they figured selling them would be better.
yeah that RWD flop created a great deal for an AWD.If that's the case then I'm super grateful it happened lol
