I'll admit to being an audio snob... but the stereo on the more expensive CT versions is downright amazing.
There is a very interesting alpine speaker upgrade available. Very tempted to get that done but the stock speakers are more than good enough.

In other base Tesla, the 7 speaker system is pretty good per reviews.

How is your math working? 29 years at $99 a month is $34,452. The luxe package was $15,000.
I put 15,000 into car loan calculator……then with 6.675 nj sales tax and 7% interest on the loan (I think around current rate but might be a bit high)…..i then had to adjust it up to 350 months to get the payment to drop close to $99/month

Someone who needs to tow >7,500 pounds or haul > 2,006 pounds.
Air suspension is also handy for hitching/ unhitching
Sure everyone wants all those difference in options. Yet do they really? $210 a month want it. If they wanted them the CT would have been flying off the shelf at previous prices on AWD. This price move is just discovery of new purchasers. Or the hope of finding the buyer. It is not going to help the higher trim, and if anything more people go down to the new price discovery, and option up if some of those things can be done. Or some may aftermarket some of those options .

@mongo. All you care about is trailering. Go trailer away someplace into a sand dune.

I think they need to drop the price of that by $10k. The Beast too.

I can envision that. My point I guess is that is likely to happen. Luxe package purchasers of the CB took it pretty hard. One would have to supercharge a crap ton to make up for that price drop.

I would actually consider trading in my Foundation with warranty expiring soon for a new cheaper AWD. PCS issues on early and new trucks. Air suspension is so costly many of you have never had air suspension pieces replaced on Tesla's or air from other OEM's. Might be nice to start with a new truck and a new warranty.

I ordered the $79k Cybertruck on 2/5, VIN was assigned on 2/7, and delivery is scheduled for 3/6.

Now Tesla just announced the $59k AWD version (no air suspension), and I’m honestly hesitating. I’m currently leased at $1,190/month with $3,000 down, and the new one would be about $980/month with the same down payment.

It’s basically a $210/month difference for air suspension and whatever else comes with the higher trim.

I’m close to delivery and not sure if I should stick with my order or switch. What would you do in this situation?
I don't think it's worth an extra $210 a month. The new $59K truck is a very good price.

I’d stick with the premium AWD personally.

Still has the range, acceleration, powered tonneau, and SBW. Biggest differences to me are the suspension, textile seats, and speakers. Everything else is…eh. Would I pay an extra 20k for those? Probably not. The 60k AWD is a bargain.
is this Elons attempt to see if an Tesla EV truck will sell, ever and before the solid state paradigm shift?

no one has been successful selling 100K annual EV truck

that is a set of drivers who won’t compromise
Erevs magbe
300-350 range
200 when very cold
150 when towing
Due to NCM
My gut says this won’t change

These mainstream 1M annual full size pickup buyer has no desires for limitations
They want 400 miles, min impact with cold and towing

Lightning failed
R1T failed
Some will say the Cybertruck failed

My 2026 ventilated seats work great.

Another thing is losing the active noise canceling means the 60K version will be louder.

On one hand I'm glad the Cybertruck will live on. On the other hand, this will boost sales a lot and make them much more common...
If you think the ventilated seats work well try a new M3 or MY, or take a trip out here to FL in the summer:)

Be harder to find my truck in the parking lot among the other CTs, but repairs, service, and aftermarket mods won't go away so that is a big plus.

I wonder if a 5th wheel hitch can be installed in the place of the missing air suspension compressor…hmmmm. 🧐

Original post says 4 wheel steering...

What are you calculating? It also includes unlimited supercharging and premium connectivity for life.

I based it on what the monthly payment would be on $15,000 plus tax and interest in nj

Roughly 350 months to get down around $99/month)

Luxe is one of the biggest ripoffs out there, unless you don’t charge at home but that would be miserable

I originally ordered an AWD model during the last series of lease incentives. Due to no inventory being available locally, I was required to place a factory order. The CT arrived after the new year and Tesla was unable to honor the $729 lease inventive since I would have had to taken delivery before 12/31. I ended up cancelling that order and figured I would wait towards the end of Q1 to see if another deal would pop up. This time around, I think it's the ideal timing. At least for me. While I understand that certain features are missing in comparison to the AWD, they aren't a big deal for me. Again, I understand that this specific new trim isn't for everyone and I can respect that. With that being said, I'm going to purchase this one outright opposed to leasing. I placed my order last night 02/20/26 @ 9:15 PM EST.
