You couldn’t buy a backup home battery system cheaper then what the truck cost!
You can, but Cybertruck is more fun

Delta Pro Ultra 21 kW 90kWh for $36k
Three inverters with five batteries each and Smart Panel 2

EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra X 24kW 120kW for $54k
Two inverters with 10 batteries each and Smart Panel 3
Can expand to 36kW 180kWh

I am a day one preorder holder who laughed about this this morning but running the numbers with my '24 M3P trade plus the huge savings from the car loan interest tax rebate, I am considering placing an at least "placeholder" order.

IMO, they are taking a significant loss on these, trying to get enough back on the roads to lessen the cultural stigma. Basically, a Hail Mary, last gasp effort.
They built the truck to sell at $80k with 500kwh of range, they are selling the same truck with about half the battery pack so pretty sure they are doing just fine on margin.

They're selling a full sized truck with power share and power tonneau and frunk for the same price as an MYP. They're taking a bath on them.

They recently had a breakthrough on the 4680's, and the lithium plant came online about a month ago, so they very likely are producing the 4680's at a lower cost now.. So they are not "taking a bath", they have, as they usually do, lowered their costs, and are passing it on, and, Elon is not giving up on the Cybertruck.

My question is:

How can both the 20" tire option and the 18" tire option both have 325 miles range? I assume both use the same battery and thus I'm guessing the range est is for the 20" tires and the 18" option may be even better. Anyone have any better insight into this?

Because $59,990 deliveries won't start until June I am expecting a huge jump in CT deliveries for Q3.

Yes, I had the exact same question.

Can the tonneau cover and front motor weight be the reason?

There is no difference other than the tire/wheel size. I asked a sell’s rep today and was told they don’t know.

Or the P in MYP stands for profit. It is $8.5k more than premium Y AWD which is profitable on its own.
CT is $2.5k more than the MYP so $11k more than a premium Y AWD.
The PCS which provides Powershare is the same price as the version in the Y.
Tonneau system is ~$5k retail.

Rented a CT for 5 days in December while a Tesla was getting body work.

The rear "vault" trunk was so dusty, I would not use it for any bags I would normally put there. Maybe the ex-wife's wedding dress?
