I’d call that a battery warmer, not a charger.

I wonder if it would charge at 12V even when PCS has failed..

Is this a trick question? I'm hoping it works and charges my truck.
No tricks. Just wondered how many amps were available and what your expected charge rate was. 120 vac 15 amps is certainly slow but it is what it is. Not clear to me where improvements were expected to come from. Thus, questions.

Will the replacement be wired to more power?

Is it done yet? This is so painful to watch.

I had 110 charge once at a cabin and it was seriously 1% per hour.

The 120v maxes out at 12 amps but the universal will max out at 48 amps at 220 volts.

So you are using a Tesla Mobile Charger plugged into a 120 VAC 15 AMP circuit using the NEMA 5-15 adapter and getting the expected 80% of 15 = 12 AMPS.

And you are upgrading to a Tesla Universal Wall Connector which you will wire to a 220 VAC 60 AMP (two hot legs) circuit and expect to get not only 80% of 60 AMPS = 48 AMPS but both legs worth thus giving you a much faster charge kindof sortof 96 AMPS. Approx 7 times more amperage. Curious how many miles per hour your vehicle will claim you are getting.

I've been using the Tesla Mobile Charger with the NEMA 14-50 adapter plugged into a 220 VAC 50 AMP (two hot legs) circuit and getting 32 AMPS (max for mobile charger I believe) across both hot legs giving me about 18 miles per hour charge. Basically, with an overnight charge, I'm as full as I want to be by morning.

I've also used the adapter for a 20 AMP (1 hot leg) circuit and got 3 miles per hour. Weirdly, when I used a 20 AMP 2 hot leg circuit, I got 8 sometimes 9 miles per hour. Never did understand that math.
