Not on any CTs that I've driven (4 in total).

I think it's misaligned if it's in view in a resting position at any speed.
It absolutely does. I have 2 and both behave in the same manner. There is an out of spec video on you tube that covers the same topic. I have also had them adjusted at the service center and was told the same.

The Cybertruck’s massive 54-inch windshield wiper features an "aero mode" that automatically moves it slightly inward, often creating a "wet noodle" (as described by
Out of Spec Reviews on Business Insider) flop, limp, or quick motion at higher speeds. This movement, which helps with aerodynamics, can cause the wiper to sit, or sometimes fail, to return to the correct, non-obstructing position.

Key Observations on Wiper Alignment While In Motion:
  • Aerodynamic Adjustment (Aero Mode): The wiper is designed to shift slightly inwards (about 1-2 inches) at higher speeds to optimize efficiency.
  • "Wet Noodle" Action: Kyle Conner of Out of Spec Reviews described the massive, flexible blade as a "wet noodle" in motion, appearing to flop and struggle with cleaning the massive windshield effectively.
  • Positioning Issues: Some users have reported the wiper fails to properly "stow" or return to its starting position, leaving it,, in some cases, visible to the driver in the field of view.
  • Operational Behavior: The wiper may pause in a horizontal position for up to 30 seconds while driving before moving.

If I remember correctly, my FS 2024 wiper home position was that the wiper was not visible from the inside, like this:

Even after the initial wiper motor recall was done, the wiper was still parked out of the view. My new, high 70K vin, always parks the wiper that it is visible from the inside:

like this user posted in an old thread (HERE)

What's your wiper home position? Visible from the inside or not?

I think it should be possible to unscrew the arm from the motor shaft and re-attach offsetting enough so the wiper is out of the view but.... my FS had this horrible rattle while traveling at highway speeds generated by this nubbin at the bottom of the wiper:

the airflow would make it rattle, touching the wiper arm, but because of windshield sound isolation, speed, and wind, the rattle always appeared coming from right above drivers head, or the C pillar between the doors.

So, part of me wants move the wiper arm, but it doesnt really affect anything, just my mild OCD; the other part tells me not to touch it.

If your wiper arm park position is out of the view, do you get any rattles?
Service manual says there are alignment marks on the glass

Not sure if you didn't read what I said, but I'll say it again. It shouldn't rest in view. Even in wet noodle mode it's to the side.

The OP's wiper is misaligned and Tesla service has always fixed this for others.

I concur, I had the same experience when they replaced my early 2024 FS AWD wiper motor as part of a recall. The wiper would pop into view when driving above 30mph, it looked awful.

I took it back and had the service center calibrate it properly, now it's perfect and stays out of view.

If you're having this issue, don't let them tell you it's "normal" - it absolutely is not and can be easily corrected.
