Therefore, my question to you, Good, sir, is what is your recommended plug and or patch kit for the CT?
Flats are very rare for me too, so I don't have extensive experience with different brands. I just go with those that have a good reputation from old-school tire shops, like Safety Seal. Traditional interior patches are not easy to use and are mostly unsuitable for on-trail or roadside repairs. The newer exterior sidewall patches are interesting, but have mixed reports. They probably work when fresh and used just right, but I don't want to mess with them as they have a limited shelf life - they would probably expire before I ever needed one (if ever). Gummy worms can often work on sidewalls well enough to get you out if you use a little creativity.

Yeah, the problem is when you get a fucking nail right on the edge of the tread, right where it hits the side wall. The patches don’t work there because of the radius around the tread. And the worms have to be really good high-quality otherwise they don’t stay in there either because of the outside angle on that spot.

There are sidewall kits for that

I was not aware of that. Care to recommend any?

It's not considered a permanent repair, but it's not a problem at all. It will get you out. Not a patch, a worm plug.

10-4. Just need to be able to drive an hour or so to a tire shop or a hotel.

I'm already set up with a DeWalt tire change kit with straight bar and torque wrench, bottle jack in a case, and 3 chunks of 4x4 blocking. All fit in the sub trunk with room to spare for tow ropes etc.

I have the same one, and I love it.

Wonder if one could get the styrofoam insert they use to put this in a spare for the kit.
I had some gear I wanted to carry in a case, but it lacked any foam insert.

Soooo, I laid a trash bag in the case sideways, and filled it with spray-foam insulation (low-expansion). When it started to stiffen but not harden, I shoved my gear into the topside of the trash bag, and let it cure. Peeled off the bag, and voilĂ , a custom-fit foam insert.

I'd assemble my own kit, but this got me thinking. I tow a trailer (10k) a few times a year and the jack I've been packing, along with gloves, tools, blocks, chocks, the SPARE, etc etc, is only a 2 ton jack. I just went to try it under the trailer and... NOPE.

So now off to find a nice 4-5 ton jack, which can double as my offroad and trailer tool kit.
BUY ALL THE TOOLS!
Actually, Grok says I should use a much larger jack?
Dual axle 10k trailer - 8 ton jack enough?

https://www.amazon.com/BIG-RED-TAM90803B-Hydraulic-Capacity/dp/B08CS2W6F9

I assume more = better, and at 16,000 lbs it can lift 1.5x the trailer with load or 2 cyber trucks...

these jacks/prices make NO sense.
a 8 ton at Harbor Freight is $38 while a 12 ton is $2.00 more.

WHY EVEN MAKE THE 8 TON?! simplify your product lineup!

I just bought this one. But now I feel like I have to return it since everyone is saying that 4 ton jack is minimum.
Hogwash. 3 Tons is just fine, especially with a super stablilized jack with a jackstand built in, Teslas puny jack is way more dangerous, as it is much more of a point load and unstable.

The point is, you will be on the side of the road, maybe partially on dirt/grass, stability is important with a #7,000 truck.
