Was there a reason? I saw a video on twitter, earlier, that showed Teslas using the median turn lane, and crossing into it over the double-yellow line, but it was necessary and appropriate as other vehicles were already occupying the lane.

Mine did as well, thank god. Every human does it. I was going to take over and do it. 2 lane highway, construction (no construction at 7PM on a sat!), and solid line in middle, right lane = 40mph. Left lane = 80 MPH. Many Many humans crossing said line. Speed limit was 55, only limiting factor was all the human drivers going so slow it hurt.

No reason for crossing Solid White line instead of it was on the end of an on-ramp merge to the highway CT never crossed solid lines before At intersections it never crosses the left turn double lines before it reaches the light it always went around them until it cleared them then entered the left turn lane CT obeyed the law don’t cross solid lines I want it to not cross a solid line

It is not illegal to cross a solid white line. If it were, you could never pull over lol

Obviously it varies by state, and IANAL, but generally a solid while line means "use caution".

Sorry CG but if you pull over to the side of the road and cross the solid white line you have a reason to do so. If you are at an intersection and cross the right side solid whilte line to turn right on red because there is a car in front of you going straight you are in violation of the State of Ohio Revised Code and subject to a written violation and fine. I know people who have gotten tickets for that. You can't cross a Solid White or Yellow line for "no reason"! Emergency crossing the line is within the parameters of the ORC. The solid lines are there for a reason....SAFETY!

I got pulled over on my 1 trip to Ohio for making a U-Turn. The officer told me it was illegal everywhere in the state, to which I replied "What if I'm going the wrong direction? I am supposed to drive to Indiana??"

National driving rules and signage would be a nice idea but may affect local revenues.

The thing that gets me is when I drive into Canada it says I can 100 but then they get mad. 😉

I find I can drive pretty fast on Ontario Highways with all the Canadians driving 15-25 MPH over the posted limits. But you do have to watch for OPP so I often use WAZE. I often travel the QEW, 401, 407 and 115/35 in Ontario. I have never been ticketed. But on the way up to our place we were stopped at a sobriety checkpoint right at the edge of town at 1:15 AM. As I pulled up and rolled down the window the officer asked "so if you were totally drunk would this drive you home?" and I replied "but of course". He laughed.
