Removing / venting rear window to cool/heat vault for DIY camp mode?

I removed the window today and going to see how it is before I order the breezer window, I have to remove camper shell to get breezer windkw in so will see if I have the same challenges other were thinking would happen I dont think I will since I have shell on it. Also tested if the toneau cover would crush anything passing through the window by putting a card board box in the way, it responded the same way as it does in the truck bed just stopped so no slicing you kn half action as other were wooried about

You may want to check for an increase in road noise.

Road nise is not that bad, but you can just put accoutic foam there if your that concerned about noise. I changed my wheel and tire setup so it would be louder than stock anyways, granted I'm coming form a sprinter van

Do you think drilling buncha holes in the glass to let air thru can work? Is the glass pretty thick and brittle?

Question for those of you who have done this. Does the climate control keep up with cooling the vault or a tent? Does it eat a ton of energy?

What are you gaining by doing that versus taking out the entire glass? You're still going to hear noise

I have no problems with it cooling the vault you may have to set the temp lower for to make it to the back other than that I have no issues I can't speak to what cooling a tent would do because that would be dependent upon your setup and I don't have that tent, also how much energy it uses dependent upon how long you run it I would imagine it's no different than running it all night with the window in

I did some tests with the rear HVAC, it looks like it's pretty strong and in the "upwards" setting, it seems like it would blow right where the rear window gap is. I have the Urander bed cap for the dogs and will report back cooling capacity and noise increase once I remove the window.

Instead of tearing truck and vault interior apart like I did on my last truck removing the rear window, I'm going to clean and duct tape both sides of the window to catch as much glass as I can when I shatter it.

That is not likely to be true. It’s like running your house AC with windows open. The impact on energy and system wear and tear is probably fairly small for infrequent use though.
how do you like it? Pros and cons? Would you do it again? Do you feel the price is fair?
How did you go about finding someone to install it?

I remove the window so I don't know what's your asking about

Glass came out in one piece if you have a competent glass installer they should be able to get it out in one piece and it won't break

I've never experienced that, I had thought I would need more circulation myself so I had some clip on USB fans that I plugged into my ecoflow battery but found I didn't even need the fans The circulation was plenty so I don't use the fans although I do have a camper shelter on top of my Cyber truck so maybe that's part of it

thought Breezer also has the vent connection and vent tubes for directing the flow to the back window when open

No, as it only uses one of the three rear center console vents. And those vents share a single common plenum, so the restriction of the tube is going to just push more air our the other two vents. I'm going to do a custom enclosure that captures all three rear vents... although it's not going to be pretty! (no one uses my rear seats).

I thought it connects to a floor vent
