I wonder if Tesla is sandbagging delivery dates in hopes people will convert to PAWD? They have allegedly always been way below production capacity on CT. Does this really add up with the relatively short wait time for a PAWD? Might this also help keep the AWD deliveries from tanking reportable vehicle margins?

IMO, they're slow walking them because they don't make any money on them.

Cybertruck demand has ebbed and flowed over the last 2.5 years.

When the CT was first released demand was off the hook and production was low. Then demand softened and new Cybertruck’s were collecting dust at service centers. That’s when incentives were kicked into high gear. Now CT’s are in demand again thanks to the new $59,990 trim.

Tesla now knows where the “sweet spot” is for Cybertruck sales. $60k seems to have struck a chord with buyers who were on the fence about placing an order.

I was back and forth on the rims but after watching this YouTube video I’m sold on the 20” unless your going to swap out the 18’s after delivery as the upgrade of $2,500 is steep.

The upgraded 20” rims on the SAWD are the same as the standard rims on the Premium. Correct me if I’m wrong.

IMO, anyone thinking about getting 20” Core wheels should just save the money and look into something aftermarket.

I ordered on 2/20. Why is my ETA now 2027 according to the chatbot?

I wouldn’t rely too much on the Ai delivery dates now. Mine also changed from June to September to 2027 and then all of a sudden 2-3 weeks for delivery only to be issued a VIN and delivery within a week.
I still think a safe estimate for deliveries would be 1-2 order day(s) per month. I think we may see June 21 reservation deliveries start towards the end of June since the $59K 10-day sale was not broadly advertised. It was only until day 2-3 before word really spread.
