Last minute jitters, and I definitely don’t want to start a new thread, but here’s the discussion we keep having in my household.

Long story shorty, I didn’t expect the truck to be here so quickly. Therefore, I purchased another vehicle earlier this year , 1/2 ton truck (RAM) and honestly love it. I didn’t expect to like it so much. Plenty of power, extremely comfortable and a ton of storage. Honestly more comfortable than the CT. I will have to take a small hit on it, which I’m not a fan of.

I guess I’m asking to help convince me this is the right move lol. I have 5 hours to make my final decision.
You ordered on 2/20, basically day 1 (it went live evening of the 19th), when the estimated delivery date was June.

It's now mid/late June. When did you expect the truck to be here?

everyone is different. typically, unless you are having issues with your current auto the best decision is to keep running what you have. if you want it and have the $ go for it. I bought an RHO one week before the 59k was offered (ordered anyway). I love RHO and don't want to get rid of it yet. I'm probably going to let the 59k order go and get a PAWD in a few years. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a free lifetime supercharging offer???
Yeah, I have a Rebel. It really is a nice truck.

With Tesla’s history and the fact the date kept slipping, there was no guarantee.

Thanks Tom, I've adjusted the tracker but keep us updated. As for your son & the trade. My gut tells me he'll thank you in the long run. If you were getting rid of a Demon 170, that may be a different story. :)
Where is the tracker? Thx

But the date never slipped. Tesla never gave any official estimated dates after the initial one at order time.

Tesla's original order date estimates are typically very accurate.

I've been a member of about a dozen automotive forums, starting in 1999 with VWVortex. Before that, I was chatting on Newsgroups, for those of you who have been around the internet for a while.

Not to get too sentimental here, but the "$59k Owner’s Group", and the folks in this thread have been amazing. The comradery, sharing of perspectives, advice from previous CT owners, and encouragement to keep our sanity while waiting, has exceeded my expectations.

What’s clear to me is we all 2 things in common, we all agree the Cybertruck is an amazing vehicle and we know an amazing deal when we see one!

Playing around with ChatGPT this morning I had it pull some stats from the forum. While I don’t have access to the raw data like a forum admin may, this is pretty impressive regardless. This thread appears to be the #3 most replied and viewed thread of all time!

Hopefully someone at Tesla will take note and the “SAWD” will get the love it deserves.

Same; been a member of a number of forums. More general, IMO, CT owners are genuinely interested in anything CT even if it’s a ‘base’ model. In other forums, it’s typically the top trim that gets the most attention with mid trims that most enthusiasts own. Base models are usually looked down upon.

I think original reservationists would beg to differ. This conversation is going anywhere. Thanks for your input.

Do someone a favor that wants it, and cancel! The next person on the list will be all too happy to get it. The hit you'll take selling the dodge is more than the $250 non refundable deposit. You could also simply ask to put your order on hold. That should preserve your deposit, and maybe you will want it, when HW5 comes out. You should be locked in at the low price.

Huh? Even "peasant CT buyers" can finance through their own bank or credit union. Tesla has no particular leverage over how you finance your purchase. Do you think new truck buyers are ignorant of the basics?
Ugh, I remember why I stopped looking at online forums. I really don’t care to comment or reply to off-topic questions.

For those looking to finance with Tesla when the option becomes available, the rate is/was 6.53%. I don’t care if you buy with cash or finance with Tesla or a third party.

Tesla has not been providing floor mats on their low-cost or entry versions of many of their vehicles for a while. While it's still not cheap, the $59k SAWD is an entry version. Most end up buying better, all-season mats anyway.
The R2 Rivian comes with floor mats. JS

When i click the three lines in the top right corner of the app to bring up the menu, and open the Tesla Assist chatbot from there, I get no answers about anything.

When i click on the blue button "View" on the main screen of the app and it brings up delivery tasks, and open a new session of the Tesla Assist Chatbot from there, it gives me all the info and is saying "June 9-June 30, 2026."

Don't think it is accurate, but i havent gotten anything from the first way in a couple weeks.
Mine took a little bit for the message to show up. It just to "Complete Your Pre-Delivery Tasks"...
