Last minute jitters, and I definitely don’t want to start a new thread, but here’s the discussion we keep having in my household.

Long story shorty, I didn’t expect the truck to be here so quickly. Therefore, I purchased another vehicle earlier this year , 1/2 ton truck (RAM) and honestly love it. I didn’t expect to like it so much. Plenty of power, extremely comfortable and a ton of storage. Honestly more comfortable than the CT. I will have to take a small hit on it, which I’m not a fan of.

I guess I’m asking to help convince me this is the right move lol. I have 5 hours to make my final decision.
Do someone a favor that wants it, and cancel! The next person on the list will be all too happy to get it. The hit you'll take selling the dodge is more than the $250 non refundable deposit. You could also simply ask to put your order on hold. That should preserve your deposit, and maybe you will want it, when HW5 comes out. You should be locked in at the low price.

Huh? Even "peasant CT buyers" can finance through their own bank or credit union. Tesla has no particular leverage over how you finance your purchase. Do you think new truck buyers are ignorant of the basics?
Ugh, I remember why I stopped looking at online forums. I really don’t care to comment or reply to off-topic questions.

For those looking to finance with Tesla when the option becomes available, the rate is/was 6.53%. I don’t care if you buy with cash or finance with Tesla or a third party.

Tesla has not been providing floor mats on their low-cost or entry versions of many of their vehicles for a while. While it's still not cheap, the $59k SAWD is an entry version. Most end up buying better, all-season mats anyway.
The R2 Rivian comes with floor mats. JS

When i click the three lines in the top right corner of the app to bring up the menu, and open the Tesla Assist chatbot from there, I get no answers about anything.

When i click on the blue button "View" on the main screen of the app and it brings up delivery tasks, and open a new session of the Tesla Assist Chatbot from there, it gives me all the info and is saying "June 9-June 30, 2026."

Don't think it is accurate, but i havent gotten anything from the first way in a couple weeks.
Mine took a little bit for the message to show up. It just to "Complete Your Pre-Delivery Tasks"...

Have you ever owned an electric car? This CT will be my 4th Tesla since 2018. I drive nothing else. My wallet thanks me. The CT might not be as plush as some of these other trucks, but it makes up for it in other ways. It has better efficiency than a Toyota Prius, insanely quick for its size, capable off road, great for camping and adventures with on board power, FSD, etc. The loss you take will work itself out in the wash with fuel savings, no oil changes, etc. I am keeping this truck for many years and hope to pass it to my son as his first vehicle. I’m taking a loss on my hardware 3 2023 Model Y and rolling it in at the $59k price. So now at $69k it doesn’t feel bad at all.

Smooth pick up from the John Young Pkwy Tesla as usual!

I was there about 15 mins before they started their show.

They did the usual commercials playing about 10 mins then go to the back and watch the light show with all the cars. I've seen it 4 times lol so I was just waiting to leave.

Once all that was over I got in the truck. A woman that works there came that recognized me haha you know you have a car buying problem when they remember you!

First thing is the FSD wouldn't start. They are heavily pushing FSD. When I was pulling out the guy said we've been told to suggest a few miles on FSD. I told him it's greyed out. I thought it was the gps being in the building. I pulled out to the lot. Tried the screen reboot. Still not starting. I went to service mode and did the DAS reset and that fixed it.

It's got FSD 14.2.2.5 yuck! Had all the old behaviors. Too slow on standard. It makes wider turns. Hit the lines and reflectors some. The nag was still high when touching the screen. They really need to get these new cars on the latest FSD if they plan to push people using it.

I love the interior. Way more than my FS. The colors of the seats and everything are good.

The stereo is good but lacks the deeper bass that the FS truck has.

Phone charger still sucks. Phone was overheated very soon. No big deal.

There was a mobile connector inside.

It's much quieter inside than my FS. No rattles or other strange noises.

The suspension height is good for me. It seems a little bouncy when at speed on the highway. definitely the air suspension is much less bouncy. Something I will get used to.

Tailgate does the soft close!

The tail gate doesn't seem to be the soft close version. At least on mine. I need to go check my FS and compare. But I feel like the FS sucks the tailgate in and this one just shuts.

Thank you. Appreciate you taking the time to write the details.

I’ll be picking up my Cybertruck tomorrow in St. Louis. Not sure why Tesla moved my delivery from Chesterfield, but no complaints.
A good friend of mine works at the Chesterfield location and apparently put in a good word for me. I just got a call from the St. Louis delivery team, and they said they’ll have the truck detailed, fully prepped, and charged to 90% as requested.
They also told me not to worry about my appointment time—just head over from the airport when I land and they’ll have everything ready to go. Great customer service so far.

When calculating the cost per mile from home charging vs. gasoline. If you have solar you’re charging for free. (Unless you have your own oil well and refining capability). Yes it’s more efficient. I believe the monroney label lists it as 79 mpg equivalent.
