Well, shoot. Now you have me googling DIY tint. I saw some good feedback and comments on one of the sponsors, @TWRAPS:

We see a high success rate on the CT tints (DIY) as the windows are very flat. Basically - follow the video, use plenty of soapy water, take your time and as long as you do it in a clean environment - you save yourself $$$ from a pro install shop. The tint itself is as good as tint can be in 2026 - premium nano ceramic tint.

A warning: don't buy it on eBay. It doesn't fit. I'm going to try buying from @TWRAPS and will let you know later.

I read on Reddit someone saying the Tesla SC told them it would work if you bought one from them for $800. Who knows. I’ve seen some on eBay for 4-$500.

Ceramic Tint. 20% on front windows. 70% clear on rear so they match. And 55% XR on front windshield.

Wish I could get 20 in my state. 24 min so probably more like 35 unless @TWRAPS wants to make a 25% for us WA folks

Notice that the factory glass is pre-tinted a little bit so adding 25% on top of that will drop you before the allowance... 35% might actually get you at around 25% when you include the factory tint.

I am going 20%. It’s illegal in Oklahoma, but I volunteer a lot with the PD and from what I understand, as long as you roll all the windows down by the time they get to your window, they don’t make a stink.
