Sorry for this issue. What I did was calling Tesla service and towed it to the nearest SC. I let Tesla deals with it. If you wait at home, your charge will be depleted. I had the whole HVBATT changed out -- almost 2.5 weeks at the SC.
Thanks for the info, just left a message for them! I am at 50% battery and with no way to charge and the horrible phantom drain, no way it will make it 2 weeks + the drive. Not sure if shutting it down completely would resolve the drain.

Got the dreaded HVBATT_a259 Unable to charge - Maximum charge level reached - schedule service error with 830 miles on the truck, 1900 VIN range. Soonest appointment is May 13th, ugh. Will not charge at all.
When I used the app for service, it scheduled me 2 weeks out, but then later moved the time slot up to just a day a or two. I think they initially schedule you further out to avoid conflicts, and then later assign a better slot if available.

Try to perform a hard reboot to see if it helps. In my case, I could not charge and I was about 30% left in battery. I had turned off Sentry to avoid phantom drain.

Well, this is interesting. After the latest 2024.14.3 update I just got today, the error went away and I’m able to charge. Tried a hard reboot prior with no luck. I still will take it to the service center to make sure there’s not a bigger underlying issue.

I got a259 on my 99xx vin this past week with 200 miles on it, just dropped it off today. Did you get yours back? Was the fix a HV replacement as well? I'm waiting to hear back from the service center still, they said it may be a few days before they can look at it

Oh man, sorry to hear that! Mine fixed itself with the 2024.14.3 update a few weeks ago but came back today! I put 1000 miles on it since the first time it errored.

I already had a service appointment scheduled for June 4th so hopefully they can get it permanently sorted then.

Oh dang, that sucks that it came back! Good luck! I'll report back when I get any updates for mine

Just got my truck back, and it was the high voltage battery replacement. They weren't able to start working on it until Friday, so I was impressed they got something like that done in just 5 business days all the way in Michigan!

Nice!

Dropped mine off Tuesday and picked it up yesterday. Quick turnaround seeing how busy they were. High voltage battery replacement as well.

Glad to hear its a quick fix! I got the error code hvbatt_a223 and got searching and found your thread. I've got 70% left thank goodness. I haven't tried the supercharger yet to see if that fixes it. But the truck doesn't acknowledge the home charger plugged into the truck. Odd.
