Heavily depends on the height and age of the rider. Anyone 5’7” and shorter will thank you for adding running boards. So far, it’s been my favorite and most useful mod.
I just addd mine today. Do I need it, nope. Will my wife be happy. Hell yeah!!!! And that’s what matters right?

@AWDMK4 are you keeping a new tracker for the Morel Y L’s? Who else has ordered one?

I also edited my order to 18". Hoping that doesn't put me out another 6 months. Thanks all for the advice/discussion.

One other question for those who have their CT, I was wondering without the air suspension, does it feel more necessary to add step rails? If the truck doesn't drop, it seems like it would be awkward without them? How does entrance/exit "feel" without them?
I’m setting my rig up for road tripping. It’s also for making dump runs etc., but I want it to be as efficient as possible on the highway. I deleted the terrestrial armor because although cool, I’d be paying $3000 and almost 200 pounds extra weight for the coolness. I’m not going to be doing anything that requires rock rails anyway. I resisted the temptation to order side steps during Amazon prime day because if you look under the side steps most people are buying, it looks like they never considered the importance of aerodynamics. It’s a ridiculous row of metal plates sticking perpendicular to the air stream. You’d have to work to make it any worse. My mods so far are: aluminum wheels (9 pounds lighter per corner), digital rear view mirror, cool center console and floor mats. I make trips up into Wyoming and the Dakotas and trust me, every bit of extra efficiency is good to have!

Some info:
RN127137..
Order date 2/20
Location: Houston, TX
Hx: July 15-mid-Aug delivery updated to “2027” a couple weeks ago.

One thing.. I upgraded to 20” wheels and feel like I’m the only one on the forum that did. I think it’s delaying my delivery date (although I have no real evidence of that). Is that possible?

What are the supposed downside (besides cost) to the 20”?
I ordered the 20”. Go big or go home😊.

I ordered the 20”. To the casual observer the difference between a premium and dual motor with 20” will be zero.

In almost all efficiency tests that have been done with running boards, they have shown a negligible impact.

Depends on your definition of negligible. A few percent for running boards, a few percent for under inflated tires, a few percent for driving 80 instead of 75, a few percent for not using FSD. It all adds up.

The casual observer won't see a difference between a Cybertruck and a refrigerator. But the Premium or Beast owner will know we have El Cheapo. Personally I don't care what others think.

In fact, some are clearly proud to proclaim that they got "El Cheapo".

I would get the liense plate 59er if Hawaii didnt have specific plates for EVs. Both the casual observer and CT elite would think I'm a dime short.

The real question is: Is there anyone that still has the ability to edit their order?
2/23 order here. RN127159XXX. I still show the ability to edit.
