I’m using the universal wall charger that was installed as part of the Foundation Series PowerShare program. What’s the benefit of these chargers compared to Tesla’s?

Tesla ‘s wall charger is capable of delivering 11.kw/h at 48amps!!

these deco’s as well as the Tesla mobile Charger are limited to 32amps.

if you don’t have enough space in the panel for a 60 amp you can get away with a 50 amp – 14-50 Nema plug

But I would recommend running a dedicated 60 amp with six gauge wire and a communication cable so that the charger doesn’t overdraw from the panel

You can downrate the UWC to match the capacity of the circuit.

I already spent ~10K for Powershare at home.

Asking these to install to family members when I visit them. It's convenience instead of Supercharger.

IMO it’s more practical to ask family members to install a NEMA 14-50 plug than a charging system. That way they’re able to use it for other purposes and we can charge using the included mobile connector.

I still wouldn't buy an off brand. How long did the Powershare install end up taking?

Some may laugh, but I've been using this 32a one that I already had running off of a 40 amp circuit and it's been just fine for our needs. I'd like a Tesla one, but don't think I have 60 amps to spare, so don't really see the advantage. I've provided infos to Trout Electric about a week before I got my CT. A week (I got my CT this week) to sign the paperwork. Two weeks to wait for them to install in two days. But still waiting for permit from the city before I can do the stucco, been 10 days now with no response from the city.

It took 2 full days to install? I'm figuring since my panel and meter are back to back on exterior garage wall I should pay for about 2-4 man hours labor, but my place wants $3,500
