I'm picking mine up tomorrow afternoon. I've waited for this day for over four years. Reading all this makes me a little nervous. If you are happy with your purchase and have no buyer's regret, give this message a thumbs up.

Of course that's true but doesn't seem like a few to me.

Still doesn't make it okay to install the seat belts incorrectly or send a windshield wiper DOA on a 100K car. But like I said I myself justify these issues.

Don't mean to ruffle your feathers but your post and responses throughout the forum are exemplary of my point.

Yes, the absolute number of problems will grow (merely by the increasing numbers) but let's not be naive about the relative % and most importantly the follow up service experience.

I actually feel bad for the SC folks and catch myself saying "it's okay if you haven't replied.. nor called back as promised... or completed the repair in X days etc etc... I know their busting their asses to keep us happy but still doesn't make it okay...

Because there are so many Tesla fanboys and apologists. They will just flood the post, with "well you bought a 1st version", "you knew you would be a beta tester", etc. The difference is, real beta testers don't pay for the product, we are paying.

I guess I was being naive to think it would be a good idea to vocalize a concern as a tesla/CT owner on website for tesla/CT owners.

Since I'm the only one concerned I guess ill keep it to myself!

Good to hear some positives though with folks above 2K miles without issues.
The fanboys are just flooding this thread to silence open, honest discussion

The car itself is amazing. I too felt the same and despite a few issues, it has been great.

It may only be a handful of CTs, but I think having a healthy concern about the issues mentioned here/elsewhere makes you better prepared. No harm in double checking the wiper, panels, frunk alignment, tonneau cover etc at delivery.

It may come with surprise (since alot of folks think I am creating FUD), but I have no buyers remorse or regrets.

Again stoking the fire.

Before I used to talk about statistics. Now I have to put my professor hat on again to teach my least favorite subject.

What does it mean when someone is an apologist?

apol·o·gist ə-ˈpä-lə-jist. plural apologists. : someone who speaks or writes in defense of someone or something that is typically controversial, unpopular, or subject to criticism. … an apologist for moneyed interests.

From good old MW.

Apologist. Now that is a new one. What is controversial here? Or who is making it should I ask?
Unpopular? Nope. Just had dinner. Server had heard from kitchen staff it is drippy. Had to come see it after dinner. Only criticism is a few that have had issues, and those that can't or don't want to jump in the pool. Nope on the last one. No money here.

It's like having/getting a PGY1 in the ICU. The PGY 3 or Fellow is usually more reliable. The PGY1 probably won't drop a lung during his/her first few central lines, but you should be nervous as the attending signing off and should be aware of possible complications. ?

The intent doesn't change the result.

It only changes how we think about the result. But those who don't know your intent - and in fact, much replay of FUD is without the intent to mislead - it doesn't matter. They see a confirmation of problems.

But are those problems out of scale? We don't know. But part of being a community is directing each other to collect this information and solve the fear, uncertainty, and doubt.

Because there are so many Tesla fanboys and apologists.
That's because there's no reason to flood the forum with a thread not about trying to solve someone's problems, but instead amplifying those fears, uncertainty, and doubt.

Being a community isn't being an apologist - it's being a good person.

I don't disagree with your first statement. I clearly see the result of my post.

I can't help if someone takes my post as "confirmation of problems" and reads it with prejudice (blame that to the pre-existing FUD). Sure, FUD may create more FUD.

But how can you solve fears, uncertainty, and doubt if you can't talk about the potential issues at hand.

Just read the recent thread about the panel flying off. Should the OP and others (who've had the same issue) avoid posting since it can "confirm" FUD? Can't we list and talk about it even if it was only 1%?

Talking about scale. What percent does this forum represent of total owners? Let's say it is 20 - 30% (although probably lower than that). Mine was one of the 3-4K VINs mentioned in the pedal recall and there was 3-4 people with windshield wiper issues on this forum. With a small sample size like that, early owners should be able to talk and be concerned about a replicating issue. No?

I rarely post online or do anything social media related.

Almost feels like gaslighting but nonetheless I've learned alot about CTs (good and bad) here and firsthandedly truly understand what a tesla "fanboy" means now.

Unfortunately, I still don't know what TESLAQ means...

Professor, you proved my point. In this community valid criticism of Tesla is an unpopular subject. This thread is a perfect example.

Fanboys are gonna fanboy. Enjoy the Koolaid. No matter how you try to spin it, Tesla's customer service is marginal at best and their build quality and quality control is subpar.

TslaQ or TeslaQ are an "anonymous" group of Tesla short sellers. They are often accused of being behind disseminating FUD.
