That's wild. They're the ones fixing my truck. That was the first step in trying to solve my problem. How long ago did they tell you they couldn't do it? If you're still around Vegas you could probably re-attempt.
It was about a month ago. I'm back in Illinois now and have an appointment to have my problem looked into at an SC here.

mine always had the vibration, starts at 50 but gets worse as u get higher in speed.

I assumed it was normal for AT tires but drove a few CB and AWD and talked to ex coworkers and it’s not normal at all.

it’s at Sunnyvale service center rn.

mine also had the driver side mirror vibrate so hard I couldn’t even figure out what kind of vehicles (cops) behind me.

I'm hoping this isn't a half shaft problem like the S and X had. With the X it would start around 45 MPH with medium to high throttle. When you let off and coast (not regen which can also cause it) the noise and shudder would go away. If you are experiencing something similar it's possible it's that. I would be surprised if that happened straight after delivery though. With the S and X it took a while to become noticeable. Tesla eventually developed better half shafts that generally fixes the problem for legacy S and X.

Tesla found that the foam inside one of CT's all-terrain Goodyear tires had detacted causing vibration at 55 mph and getting progressively worse as speed increased. Over 80 the vibration became intolerably strong. They replaced the tire under warranty, of course. The failed tire was on the rear driver's side. I would have sworn it was a front tire, and it was before rotating front to rear on both sides to see if it was a balance problem. I believe that the foam detached progressively over two months because early on (500 miles) the vibration was difficult to detect unless the road was very smooth. At 2000 miles the vibration was obvious. At 4000 miles it was horrible at 80 mph.

Adding another data point to this thread. Our truck was in the service center for almost three months. One issue they were diagnosing was a similar vibration issue as reported by several here. Full thread is this one:

https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...ted-sort-of-05-16-24.16618/page-2#post-319840

While they fixed everything else, the vibration issue with the tires is almost worse now. They supposedly balanced the tires again. My long drive home allowed me to set the cruise control to 73 (vibration is minor in the 50-55mph range, goes away until 70, and kicks back in above 70). I drove on long stretches of straight, smooth pavement at 73mph. The vibrations would slowly kick in, get REALLY bad for a mile or so, then slowly go away. It would be very smooth for another mile or two before the vibrations would slowly kick in again. Rinse and repeat, over and over again.

Very strange. Anyone know what might cause that? I have a feeling this will be another service center appointment trip.... Last one being ~80 days long made me want to cry though. :(

I’m experiencing something similar but for me it seems to start above 40 miles an hour very slightly more noticeable during deceleration/regen. Have you had any luck with Service? I have an appointment scheduled in a couple weeks.

Same issue, service told me it’s normal. Let us know what they told you. Thanks

Does it get worse for you at highway speeds specially 70+? Is it randomly worse during some drives versus others? I’ve had two drives this week where I got off the highway and drove below 40 because how bad it was getting.

Yes, randomly worse as well, but I think the vibration overall is tolerable. I don’t have any vibration below 55mph besides regenerative brake. I felt it actually vibrates more when the road surface is smoother but I could be wrong.

That should not be normal did they explain what is causing it? I’m assuming if it is normal there should be a known mechanism that explains why it is happening.

I have the vibration around 40-50mph with light regen. Other than that I'd say it rides very smooth.

Same. I also attribute this to a combination of the AT tires and regen. It’s certainly a different feel than my M3, but the tires, weight, etc. are all different. Certainly more of a “truck” ride in that sense. I’ve mostly just adjusted to it. The first time I towed my camper, I really noticed a whine and vibration, but I think that was just getting used to it. The last two times I’ve towed I didn’t notice it much/if at all.

I had sudden onset vibrations, waited a couple days, made Tesla service appt, and problem gradually got better, but never as good as car at delivery. Two tires had detached foam. Tesla would only remove foam and rebalance, for which they charged me. I was told to contact Goodyear directly for warranty. Goodyear worked with me to set up appointment at another shop and told me to bring Tesla invoice and provided case number. I expect it to get all made right with new tires. They said Tesla does not want to engage in any tire warranty support.
