I’ve got an AWD ordered and am waiting for a VIN (hopefully any day now). My question is for those who own the AWD version. For those coming from a regular vehicle in particular, but for all in general.

Is the acceleration of the AWD CyberTruck for you a “WOW!” factor? I’ve only driven a 2023 Model S standard model for a test drive. No other Tesla experience. To me, it had a ”WOW!” acceleration. And I know the AWD is a slight bit slower (although a much larger vehicle). So will the AWD version give me a similar “Wow!” feeling?

The AWD is mildly "wow". But I have several old hot rod ICE vehicles plus a 2014 Model S P85, so I am used to relatively quick acceleration. Any vehicle that does 0-60 around four seconds is a very fun ride.

There IS a huge difference, though, between four seconds and 2.5 or lower. So if you're looking for an experience that scares passengers and plasters a permanent grin on your face, that will require something like the Beast or Plaid S.

IMO.

Yes. Its fast. Put it in sport mode and dump the pedal... it's crazy quick. You will be faster than 98% of the vehicles on the road. Its certainly a WOW.
I’ve read it’s still sports-car quick, so I was hoping that’s the case. We’ve got a Volvo XC-90 ICE vehicle, so I’m sure it’ll seem a lot quicker than that at a minimum, lol.

That’s what I was wondering. Makes sense if you’ve already experienced fast acceleration, it wouldn’t be as noticeable.
Thanks.

Just looked it up. Our Volvo 0-60 time is 6.1 seconds. So this ought to seem like a good step up. ?
And instant torque would I guess help with the wow factor too.

If you aren't a sports car driver, yes, any Tesla is going to be "wow". They really don't make slow cars

It took me a month to work up the courage to take it out of "Chill" mode lol
Haha... it took me 4 days for that. I thought it was crazy fast in Chill mode. Then I put it in Sport mode... and holy crap.

What's funny is you do that and you lose 1% right away :ROFLMAO:

Even if you’ve gone faster before in sedans, coupes etc, going 0-60 in 4 seconds in a truck is crazy fast lol. Almost absurd imo but very fun nonetheless. But you will probably get used to it quick.

It's pretty fast. I only kinda regret not going for the Beast. I do enjoy saving the money... At least I keep telling myself that. It definitely throws you back in your seat with the Torque. When I punch it with others in the car they are always surprised.

One thought, 3 motors equals 3 possible problems. 2 reduces the chances by a little. If 4 seconds is a problem you have an issue with your ego and need to seek help.
