Just preferences folks, not features/bugs ?

I really don't understand all the hostility on the forum

Are you smoking crack? I understand what you are saying. Jesus Christ, you are insane. Chill.
Now there's a first. Never been accused of doing drugs before.

Not sure what I said that got you upset. I truly apologize. I assumed you weren't getting my drift, since most people who drive the Cybertruck comment on the steering right away.

I haven’t really noticed any benefits of steer by wire. My CT vibrates through the floor and the steering wheel above 65 mph and Tesla even looked at it, consulted engineering, claimed to replace a drive unit, and it still vibrates more than any other vehicle I own (including Rivian with AT tires and multiple Broncos/Jeeps)
Bring it into service my truck is having the front drive unit replaced because of what sounds like the same issue.
what are you comparing the steering to?
For me the steer by wire is incredible I had a gas Silverado that was awful to maneuver in the city specially in parking garages the constant hand over hand along with having multiple point turns because of turning radius. As much as I liked it, having bulging discs in my cervical spine and a fusion made the truck more comfortable, I avoided driving it into the city. I now have one vehicle the Cybertruck and it’s been very easy to maneuver.

I considered a rivian r1t but it’s to small it’s more like a ranger than an f150. But it’s a great truck and better fit for many people than an F150 or a Cybertruck. But I think comparing their efficiency is kind of silly. Specially for someone who is such a vehicle expert.

I’ve done over 1500 miles with 90% freeway driving and the efficiency even at 70 mph is more like 400-500 Wh/mi even with elevation loss. That being said the real time prediction is pretty close. 450 Wh/mi is more typical of the open road. 350 is with traffic.
Not here 70/30 highway and 70mph average highway travel with a faulty drivetrain. Maybe the faulty drivetrain is more efficient but might leave you stranded. Worth it?

He totally lost me when he said steer by wire has been done in cars before, and it was a solution to solve a "mistake" of longer wheel base. Wow! Just wow. Does he know the wheel base of full ton trucks? How many mass produced cars in past had 48V architecture with steer by wire and dent resistant body? If someone can say such things for a revolutionary tech like Cybertryck, then probably there is no hope for humanity anymore.

I'll be honest: I enjoy watching Rich, but I'm still buying mine tomorrow regardless of what he thinks (he trashed the damn thing before he had one to review probably to justify his Rivian purchase, and coupled with his Tesla history, he's already biased right out the gate).

Everyone hates cybertruck? No - everyone hates Cybertruck price tag including me lol. Again, I'm still buying the damn thing.

Tired of watching youtube videos anyway - I'm going offroading...

Whether we like it or not, the vast majority of the public does not like the Cybertruck. I'm just being real here.
No, you're pushing a BS narrative. Driving a Cybertruck for the last couple of months has demonstrated that to me without question. The general public LOVES it. And that's BEFORE they have even experienced driving or riding in it.

Sure, there are some haters out there, but they do not represent the majority, less than 10% are true haters. I've had so many positive conversations with complete strangers that are just blown away when I demonstrate the functionality of the truck (auto tonneau cover, size of the pickup bed, the ride height raising and lowering, withstanding hard blows from the toe of my size 13 boot, etc.). They can hardly believe it's a real production truck.

Honestly I don't want to argue with you about that, I know quite a bit of people that do like it. I just cannot believe how many people I've come across in the last couple of months who laughed or thought I was crazy I was buying a Cybertruck.

No joke, so many more people I have discussed the truck with have a negative response than positive. It's probably 70% negative / 30% positive, and I'm in an area where a ton are being sold.

It's strange. I think it's amazing... But it's so polarizing it's crazy. The people who do like them, love them though! Surprisingly, a lot of women like them more than I thought, and more men hate them than I thought.. especially guys into regular trucks.

It's just what I've witnessed myself, personally.

Some things he likes but overall disappointed, his ending conclusions are fairly harsh, but not entirely wrong. Jump to the 26 minute mark if you want to just hear that part.

Sad to see Rich in this light, or darkness to be more on point. He may need help, or he's just fooled me on more than one of his claims. Sandy Munro could steer Rich in the right direction.... perhaps even take time to hear what he says about innovation from Tesla. He watches Kyle's videos, and l admit to that, however l also learn from Sandy when he shares the BIG stuff.......

It's odd how your narrative that the Cybertruck garners a 70% negative response differs so dramatically from all the other owners I've seen weigh in on this (including my own experiences over the last two months) that consistently report overwhelmingly positive responses, with a small minority of negative responses.

No doubt the Cybertruck is polarizing, so was the Model T, that was the best selling vehicle for decades. It had a lot of haters who would tell anyone who would listen why a horse was better, LOL!.

Haters are always going to hate. But they are the freaks of society, haters never win.

It could be where you are getting this reaction. I have a few friends California, and even though they're environmental conscious, anything Elon is bad. In Florida, 98% of the people have been positive. And this is even when coming out of a store and taking a non-direct route to appear to be someone coming over to look at it and overhearing what others are saying.

You're missing my point.

We have seen a lot of people from California, Texas and other areas of the country report on the ratio of positive to negative reactions to their Cybertruck. I'm sure there are regional variations, but in no case does the irrational Cybertruck hate rise anywhere near being the majority, even in the portions of the U.S. that have the highest percentages of short-sighted and irrational people.

100% I have had zero negative interactions. actually the people I know that thought it was ugly and stupid all these yrs I have been waiting for it now that they have seen it in person like it and would consider it at a lower price or in a SUV format.
