Has anybody had any success installing RFID Gate Opener Stickers in their cybertruck to operate automatic gates?
I’ve always put them on my headlight on other Tesla models.
Did a test with scotch tape on the headlight area and it did not transmit.
My next plan is to try placing it behind the rearview mirror. I’ve seen this in Tesla documentation years ago, but I’ve never tried it because I didn’t want to put a gooey sticker on the back of the mirror. They are very difficult to remove.

Scrap installation behind the rearview mirror. It doesn’t have enough space for it to fit on either side and I actually have two of these to install. Normally one goes on the left headlight and the other one goes on the right headlight because the sensors are on opposite sides of both places.
Now thinking of a way to put it in some kind of plastic sleeve and put it on the windshield side of the visor.

Ordered this from Amazon.
i’ll just keep it in mind center console when not in use. Assuming it works heading from the. rearview mirror.
If not, I’ll have to roll my window down and waive it at the sensor ?

Can you hide it in the plastic trim?

I’m planning to just keep it in my center console under the armrest and just put it on while I’m using it at this point unless I can find some magic way to put it on the backside of the visor without it being ugly

I hope it’ll work just hanging from the mirror or at worst case laying on the dash but dry worst case scenario I’ll be holding it out the window

RFID should only need to be outside of the metal envelope, on the side of the vehicle that the pulse detector is. The plastic trim shouldn't block it at all, despite being opaque.

So I'd consider under the wheel arch trim, if you know what side it's on. Maybe inside the front skirt, along the bumper? Maybe the mirror trim piece?

I assumed that if I couldn’t get it to work inside the opaque plastic sleeve that I would simply peel and stick it to the outside of the sleeve.
I’ve actually already tried it on the headlight without success.

I will report any results back to this thread

The headlights are inset, so the angle to the pulse generator might be wrong for that.

Do you know where the sensor is you're trying to trigger?

I put the sticker on a clear pokemon card protector that my kids didn't need and now I hold it up on passenger side of front windshield camera apparatus. My gate sensor is up high and it works great.

My parking stickers I placed on pokemon card protectors and rest them between dash and triangular small side window so they are visible at work. I'm not putting any stickers on this truck. It makes it look terrestrial.

Your gate tag reader might be in a different location than mine but I put my sticker on the top passenger side of the windshield. Keeps a clean look inside and only can be seen from the driver seat if you look for it.

I have one in the lower left of my windshield and it works fine. Most Teslas need them on a headlight as I understand.

I put mine on the passenger side at the base of the window (that was a pain to get it there). It took a lot of trial and error and circles to figure out. It also helps for me to set the height to High and save the location to trip the sensor.

Good luck

Ok,
I did a few tests
Holding it directly under rear view mirror worked. Although it didn’t activate the sensor until I was closer than expected.
we tried it in a cellophane sleeve.
Not translucent opaque. No go.
so it should stuck onto the outside of the mirror hanger?
