- Ordered: Cybertruck Tri FSD x 3
48 hours and still haven't pulled the trigger. Yesterday I drove an hour to the closest showroom with a cybertruck to sit in it, check the visibility, build quality, run my fingers over every edge and make my own fingerprints. Forgot to try and listen to the sound system (not sure if they allow that). Panel alignment was pretty good and I would have accepted delivery. It did have a defect/hump on the dash on the passenger side. Why not swap this part out? The showroom model's only job is to look good. Maybe they were just setting expectations.Which way are you leaning? Test my theory or pay the foundation tax?
Maybe in 2 years, when my number is called again, there will be more options, better/more consistent build quality, better energy density, more pack sizes (none of this take up bed shit) and fully baked software.
This was my plan when I bought my MYP last fall and I'm going to stick to it.
I vote Nay on the Foundation tax.
