After 2.5 months of ownership, VIN 6500 and 679 miles I had to load my CT for a run to the dump.

I’ve been babying it and questioning whether I’d ever opt to use it over my Gen 3 Raptor, but today I did the unthinkable; I prepared it (still in baby mode) for a run to the dump.

I just couldn’t take another dropping of flowers in my backyard from this desert willow so I took it down and loaded it up. Plus, I had no option because I did relocate my Raptor to another state.

So thankful I had these (2)20x20 tarps from Costco to protect her. ?

After all the recent talk about depreciation and the end of the FS, I’ll sleep peacefully tonight knowing I protected it from further depreciation ?

The quick disconnect tie downs from TSportline were super helpful to move around after I loaded the CT. I’d definitely recommend those!

I really couldn’t be happier w this modern marvel. Looking forward to FSD rolling out soon. It’s going to just keep getting better from here IMO.

When you have gravel as “lawn” that usually means AZ or NM. Where do you live?

Thanks for the photos and the story. I’d be babying mine too if I had it yet.

I lived in Phoenix for 4 years and had some lawn gravel myself at the time.

Cheers

Give it another few months you will get tired of putting tarp in there.

personally, i live rural and do quiet a bit outdoor activities. i am too lazy to keep a truck clean and it will be filthy and muddy by first week of purchase lol

Yeah I definitely hope to get there. The bed liner in the Raptor was just stronger IMO so I used it mostly without any tarps. I do wish the CT had a little more strength in appearance and feel in the bed. If I use it 3-4 times a year to haul a load to the dump I won’t mind throwing a tarp in. Usually it makes it easier to pull it all out at the dump any how. If I were planning to use it more I suppose id rhino line it, but I kind of hate the thought of spending money in that category if the stock doesn’t already do the job. In all fairness I really do love the ease of using a tarp if I’m going to go to the dump. Just leaves a lot less clean up. I do wish the plastics on the CT, in the bed and surrounding trim were tougher though. I think they’ll take a beating for those who just chuck stuff into the bed. Tesla could definitely improve that category with little expense and make many happy as a result.

I’ve had mine for 56 days and I use it for work. Bed full of tools and whatever else will fit. Not gonna baby a truck, plus its the inside of the bed where no should be poking around. Close the tonneau and have fun with it. 2700 miles already.

makes sense if you use the bed less.

Your CT looks fantastic in white (my fav color). My previous 2 vehicles were white. i was going to leave it as is but now have to rethink the whole wrap thing.
