How would you test the CyberBeast if you had it for 24h?

I’ve been waiting for this for 5 years.

I got the chance to get CB for 24 hours to try it out. 10am Saturday to 10am Sunday!!! Wooohoo!!!

My plans so far
- do all my regular routes to feel the CB in my real world
-give short rides to a few friends who like CT. And to a few who hate it. Observe what they say… (won’t change my mind anyway ?)
- test the acceleration in a safe place ( areas in Seattle??? ) - max speed locked to 80mph?!
- drive out of the city on all 4 directions for up to 2-3 hours to see how it drives on longer trips… both on highway and scenic deserted roads
- go in wilderness in the Olympic peninsula to bond the CT and need to nature in a new way
-some easy off-road ( never done off-road and I don’t want to damage the truck inadvertently)
-try some easy sand dunes( don’t want to deflate inflate tires though)
-try some water 1-2 feet deep?!
-try FSD and super charger

What cool ideas you can give me?

thank you hang… I’ve learned a lot from you all and I look forward to hear from you!

I’m not sure how much you’re going to be able to test the acceleration since you’re usually locked down to 80 mph or something when you’re on a loaner from Tesla.

You’ll get there quick and won’t be able to get the full sense of a real unfettered launch. Just keep that in mind.

good to know. so no Speedway testing if CT locked at 80mph max speed.

Do as you've indicated in your initial post. Not sure how important acceleration testing is in a +3 ton truck. It's faster than any ICE and plenty fast enough unless you want to do NASCAR truck series...

If acceleration is capped at 80 mph, you will have a hard time enjoying the Beast. It’s literally a Beast, and it wants to be unleashed with even a gentle tap. I realized how much I’m accustomed to driving beast when I got the loaner Model Y. I kept getting warnings all the time. You might think you would zip at 90+ mph all the time. That’s not true. It’s like riding a motorcycle. You do a quick acceleration. At the blink of an eye it hits 80+, and then you slow down back to 65 mph. The acceleration/deceleration curve is the thrill ride. It’s very hard to accelerate and not have it go beyond 80+ mph in 2 seconds (when you are already in 40+ mph). If you just tap and release, you will be pretty much jerking back and forth, which is not fun, at least when you are driving ?

Testing the performance like a sports car fails, mostly due to tires.

More important things are to see if you can get used to the turn signals, like the regen, like FSD and can drive it smoothly (try chill mode).

Make sure to put steer by wire through its paces - hit some parking garages and/or areas where you can really get a feel for what it's like to maneuver in relatively tight quarters (not just normal neighborhood/freeway driving).
