So I received my truck about a week ago and have been driving it in "chill" mode this entire time. Tonight a passenger wanted to see how fast it was so I decided to put it in sport to test. I didn't expect much because I know mine was the slower truck, but this thing was brutal, it literally threw us back in our seats and my passenger lost grip of her phone and it landed on the back seat.

I've driven 4 second 0-60 cars before and this felt way faster than any of them. Is Tesla under reporting the dual motor 0-60 to sell more beasts? It feels so unsafe to have that much speed on public roads, I can't imagine the beast being much faster than that. As it is I'm probably never putting my truck in sport mode again.

If you think that’s fast you must faint in a Beast?
That’s what I’m asking, have you actually driven both to see the difference? That’s kinda what I’m trying to figure out from this post. It seems like the awd is already dangerously fast so I can’t imagine the beast being much quicker.

Since posting this I’ve actually been trying to find videos of both versions racing and the few I’ve seen has the awd and beast almost tied at the end.

Having driven both extensively the AWD is not even in the same league as the Beast…after doing few beast mode launches and then attempting the same in the AWD, the AWD feels like….well, like its missing a motor….?

It feels faster because of how much the suspension moves u get that initial sink down in the rear which makes it feel much faster then it is. The AWD is still impressive for the weight it’s moving the Beast is another level but my gut tells me quad motor is coming soon and that will destroy the beats resell value. Also the awd hopefully is getting the acceleration boost before the end of the year to purchase like they did with other Teslas.

just my opinion it is fast but the sensation is increased due to the size and weight of the vehicle sinking the rear end on pulls.

Might upgrade to a beast in ~5 years but even in my AWD I can barely utilize the acceleration because all of the other traffic is so slow!

If I’m first in line at a red light it’s another story!

Funny being in a 7000lb truck going through the intersection before the other cars are through the crosswalk.

Also have taken many people for rides and all have been shocked at the acceleration.

I thought it was odd that Elon kept mentioning the Quadmotor Plaid and it was not yet released.

Speed boost would be ?

Have you drove a gas vehicle since getting your cybertruck? They seem like clown cars after getting use to a CT.
Drove CT Thursday-Sunday, jumped in the ICE Ford Edge (work/commuter car) and felt like Fred Flinstone

Common response.

People just don't understand that the slowest Tesla is going to beat most anything else in the parking lot.

10 years ago, 4 second 0-60 vehicles were rare and expensive. Tesla changed that.

A common statement of mine. "I've got the slow Cybertruck, it's 0-60 is under 4 seconds" If they know 0-60 times, that always brings a chuckle. In no one's book os 0-60 in 4 "slow"

So many people have to get the "fast" version of a Tesla, because they couldn't be seen in the slow version. Let them drive one and they'll see how wrong they were.

And don't forget, that's a 0-60 in a 660- pound vehicle.

It's even more interesting to see how far it takes to hit 60 mph.
