You can't really. Just text and message. Tesla tries to keep people away from calling.

There is a customer service number (people in Freemont) that sometimes people will answer, but there numerous stories on TMC where people wait on hold for a ridiculous time (like 8 hours). There's also Tesla sales out of LV and they typically don't answer, but will text you and then if you request someone will call, but they don't have any control of local SCs or deliveries.

Never have had a problem reaching them. Called the main tesla number (888) 518-3752 and go through all the automation questions (including inputting zip code) and am then forwarded to the local SC for my area.

I was finally able to schedule my delivery at the Jax SC. I was emailed by Tesla asking for some business documentation, and the employee who emailed me mentioned it was now in Jax after being stuck in Texas for nearly a month. I had to go in person, but the advisor at the SC immediately helped me schedule it without issues. Before going into the SC, I didn't have the option to schedule anything using the app. He initially said I could pick it up tomorrow morning, but then he talked to some other people in the back and realized they "ran out" of replacement wiper motors and wouldn't be getting any until "next week" - So now I'm scheduled for the 27th! He said that was the earliest they could do considering the wiper situation. My VIN is in the 14500s.
My Cybertruck delivery experience at Jacksonville Florida SC.

Scheduled for 06/12/2024 4pm. I'm a first time EV owner and never have driven an EV before and new to the Tesla family.

Got to the SC at 3:00 pm to see if my CT was there so I could look at it in person. Around 10 CT's were in the back lot. None in the delivery bay getting prepped for delivery. Went into lobby to hanged out.

Got a text @ 3:10pm from Tesla saying "Hello, We are experiencing long wait times on our vehicles going out today with our Vehicle Preparation team falling behind for Transparency we will be pushing your appointment time to 5:30 PM. -Tesla Team".

There were around 30 other people there for delivery pickups. Started hearing people talking that they had a 4pm delivery appt also. Some were there for 1pm appt. Whenever a member of the Vehicle Preparation team came out of the office they would get bombarded by many customers asking for updates and information. The VPT would deflect and run away back into the office. One time the VPT came out I heard him state that they were still working on the 1pm deliveries.

5:30pm rolls around so everyone starts pounding on the VPT office doors for some updates. As we are waiting I asked around and there are 5 others there to pick up their Cybertrucks.

6:30pm then rolls around and everyone in waiting lobby (>25 people) are still unable to get updates. Office closes at 7pm but VPT are staying to finish all deliveries.

7:30pm was told the CT's are at another holding lot somewhere and had to be driven over to the SC.

8:30pm We see 6 CT's show up and parked in the back lot. So most of the CT people go back to find their CT and look it over. We find our VIN.

9:00pm We are offered to take delivery of our CT without it being prepped (cleaned and whatever else they do to them). They said we can bring the CT back on another day and they would detail them. I don't know how to set that up with them.

9:30pm The VPT take all of us to the back lot to look them over and unlock them. We all agreed to take them as is seeing no issues.

9:45pm They start to bring each CT up to front lot and start the process to put tag on and collect payment and key/app verified.

10:00pm I hand over my cashier check and get my registration and they put the tag on and make sure keys are programmed. I notice my CT only had 16% charge and they drove me back to the supercharger in the back lot and showed me how to hook up. They said I could charge up as much as I needed.

10:30pm Had enough charge so we drove home and went to bed.

I guess it depends on SC. Mine goes to voicemail if I do that and no one has ever called back, but they are quick to answer text.

When I picked up my MS, they blew out a tire and bent a rim trying to drive it into the detailing bay. They gave me a brand new MYP loaner and said come back in an hour. They said the car was an employees and I couldn't keep it for more than that.

I came back an hour later and they said that the rim and wheel had to be replaced and it would be 2 weeks. I was 2 hours away and didn't have a car with me. I told them this and the manager sighed and said, "Well looks like someone tomorrow will have to be rescheduled" and they took the rim/tire off another MS and put it on mine.

The whole process took about 5 hours, then the car had 8% charge, so they charged it for another hour.

I left when the last employee left, but with my car.

Knock on wood...80k miles later and the only issue was a peeling yoke that mobile techs have replaced 3 times at no charge.

Last 3 times picking up new Tesla's (Model 3, Model S, Cybertruck), we were in and out in less than 20 minute. And most of that was just us making sure everything was good. Never at the end of the quarter though. Sorry to hear what you had to go through.

Not give an excuse, but more of a perspective. The 4+ hour time frame is exactly the experience I've had at the last few "regular" dealerships I've had. And that was AFTER pricing had been agreed to and financing had already been done elsewhere.

Agreed! My last 2 Tesla's were hardly 15 min in and out! Those 15 min were for me to check the panel alignments and any paint issues.

Update, I was notified this morning that they are “hoping” the wiper motor part will be delivered tomorrow, so I can take delivery soon after, as it is a fairly quick process to replace.
Update, wiper motors were delivered to my Tesla Dealership in Chesterfield, MO yesterday and they will be installed today on all Cybertruck’s awaiting delivery. I messaged my Tesla rep and rescheduled my delivery for 6/21. Very good news!
