Official Wheel Covers Not Returning claims Tesla sales manager

I picked up my new Cybertruck on Tuesday the 18th. The Sales Manager told me that he had received an email that day from the higher ups saying that the wheel covers are not coming back. Thought I'd pass on the word and see if anybody else had heard the same.

By the way, first time poster, but long time reader. This place was a wealth of knowledge for me prior to order/pickup. Thanks!!

I was a huge fan of the OG wheel covers.

Considering how much engineering and tech went into this truck, and what was achieved, I would be shocked if they couldn’t resolve the issue with the rub.

Agreed, I love the way they look. I need these covers, can't believe nobody has aftermarket ones yet.

Then tesla should pay us back the cost for the wheel covers .... another credit voucher to buy from Tesla store for the "OUT OF STOCK" items ...

its WIN WIN for Tesla .. put expiry date on the voucher, keep items out of stock and say one time use only ...

Tesla should just provide free Supercharging to the original owner for life. That would offset some of these minor things Foundation Series owners have been dealing with since launch.

I really don't think this is true because Tesla is still advertising their truck with these wheel covers on the website and configuration pages. They would have already removed them by now on all the images if this was not something you would get with the vehicle.

If they are truly not going to provide wheel covers as the images show, then I would expect Tesla to provide something like a 1-year supercharger credit, or a credit in the Tesla store.

Need to see the email.. That really seems crazy that they would not make them at all .. it needs a aero cap for best range performance and it’s not a hard fix .. also why still on store page ?
