YIKES....only 24 hours after getting a VIN I got the text notice to schedule my delivery appointment, TOMORROW, 6/28. We went from a snail's pace to HyperSpace. I can't even move the money that fast while today I did add the Beast to my insurance garage, but the paperwork says it must be 3 days in advance. Cannot get a human on the phone, but I will continue to try and keep you guys up to speed...for some reason I keep hearing this voice over my shoulder, "Be careful what you wish for!!!"

It is end of month and end of quarter!
You are correct, I got the text to pick it up last night, Thursday, moved the money this morning, Friday, and of course the funds will not be available until Monday. They suggested that I finance it and pay it off next week. BUT, it needs to be picked up this weekend...no can do. They want all trucks off the lot at the end of the quarter and month. So I had to let it go, I don't believe it, so close yet so far. I was told that I would be prioritized but again, I will believe it when I see it but on the bright side, I will have the funds waiting. On the bad side, all my paperwork and insurance is in another VIN, but I guess I can sort that out...so the waiting game continues. What a Buzz Kill...

The human also said that it is not unusual to get your VIN and delivery pickup back to back.

Sorry dude. My personal view after dealing with Service Center(s) for over nine years, is that the SC is now just too overwhelmed with work to think. They know when month end and quarter end are since it's on the calendar, but it sneaks up on them and they then try to react. I have a voicemail message I save from 2016 when she apologized they didn't have my S washed and said next time you're in the area, stop in. Those days are long gone! As a shareholder, I get the desire to make money and have a lower cost structure but my hunch is customer service is more important than they fund IMHO.

With the sum of money we are talking about there should be a bit of lead time, 48 hours, allowed. My money works, I don't so it does not move unless there is a need. It just came off rather rude and pressured. Even if I paid for it, online, it had to be out of their GEOfence by Sunday night, period...so someone in Houston, who ordered a Beast with Tactical Gray, got a huge surprise this Friday afternoon. I can smile about that! It's not all about me.

It appears that they have put my order on hold until Monday, the first.

I don't ever recall to get a notification that I was assigned a VIN. I was notified by a phone call to schedule pick up and said I didn't even have a VIN yet. The guy on the phone said I did have a Vin and its in the app. I didn't know it would show up in Vehicle details page. As I really didn't check that page.

Have you purchased a Tesla before? Because if you pay through the app it does not get deducted from your account until several days later.

No, the Beast is my first Tesla but if that is the case I may take that route the next time around. Thanks for the information.

I am not whining, here, just sharing the information for others just like you did with me and I am grateful for you taking the time to do so.

Check your app, be ready and hope that you have no other engagements when you get the notice. Lessons learned.
