It took 70ish days after I paid in full (deposit, taxes, etc) before I got my VIN. I should have waited until I got VIN as my financing and trade in expired and had to do it it all.

They extracted my final payment which was $30,000 January 9th and I don’t even have a VIN assigned yet. Patients ;)

I'm still unsure how folks were able to do this. It seems like a handful of folks found this bug where it let you pay in full without a VIN and delivery date. Normally these steps are greyed out until delivery is imminent.

It's too late now, but it's best not to make a final payment before a delivery date is set.

Yeah, so trust me I fully understand what’s ideal and this is not what I expected when the option showed up and allowed me to do it. I had to assume that I was merely configuring my payment information and that it wasn’t going to fire until delivery. I was shocked when it withdrew the money right away and called Tesla multiple times to try to get them to put it back. I was told my only option to get it back would be to cancel that order And reconfigure all over again they even said “losing my place in line “so I never expected to be another three months and still be waiting

Yea not unusual to have to wait 75 days for a vin.

If you are watching this site then you know that the process is taking around 3 months. You are 2-3 weeks in.

Watching this site and I see some getting Vin faster... sometimes in TX and CA. Looked at spread sheets and saw some took only 3-6 weeks from configuration others 3 months and yet others still waiting. Seems all over the map.
