Brand spanken new Cyberbeast (300 miles), just noticed some waviness in the middle of the windshield, about 4 inches wide, one inch tall and 6 inches above the dash. Anyone else notice waviness glass?

I have the same warping on my windshield, stock with no tint or ceramic applied. I have had this issue with the Service Center since my first appointment in February 2024. My glass has been inspected, but I have yet to receive any documented follow-up on how Tesla plans to remediate it.

I also seem to have to bring it up again at each visit and manually add it to each service ticket.

The Service Center stated that each windshield-related ticket has to be investigated by an external service visit, on a one-to-one basis.

My follow-up appointment is tomorrow morning. I am curious if they plan to resolve my windshield warping issue.

Ours has a line of about 8 inches long. Most of the time is not obvious but it's there, not a crack tho. Just a line of weirdness.

Photos don't cut it, so I took a video, watch the bumper of the black SUV next to the boat, as I move my phone.

Looks like you are having the same issue of mine. But mine is above the driver side on the blue factory tinted so it can be seen easy. Brought it to Tesla today and they confirmed this is manufacturer defect and will replace it free. BTW, the cost of windshied around 2300$ if it is out of your pocket. They said this defect can cause windshield crack so better to have Tesla fix it ASAP, otherwise, when it cracks, they can blame it on you.

Same warping(?) issue with mine (no tint, totally stock). Mine is centered at the base of the windshield, so not easily noticeable…maybe 3x4” or so in size.

I've seen a lot more issues with the windshield distortion since about May-June. Now we closely inspect every windshield before tinting. The most common issues include (don't read below if you're worried you won't unsee it after seeing it):

  • Distortion throughout the windshield
    • You can actually see this best by parking about 20 feet from a tree facing the tree and then slowly move your head while you look at a single point in the middle of the trees leaves
  • Two parallel white lines that run from the edge of the glass for about 6-8 inches towards the middle of the glass. This is about halfway up the length of the glass
    • This becomes very obvious after tinting
    • I've seen this on the driver's side of about 9 CTs and on the passenger side of only 1 CT
    • It's about 1/3 CTs seem to have this
  • 1 inch distortion section along the passengers side of the windshield. This goes the full length of the glass
    • You can see this by standing outside the driver's door, looking through it near the pillar one passengers side.
    • This occurs in nearly every CT
  • 1/4 inch distortion section along the entire bottom length of the glass near the hood.
    • This occurs in nearly every CT
    • You can see this just by looking through the bottom of the windshield and moving your head up and down as you fix your gaze
  • Overspray in the glass
    • This is harder to spot because it can occur anywhere in the glass. I've seen it most often on the passengers side.
    • This appears to be overspray from when they are putting in the black dot matrix stuff on the edges of the glass as well as the markings that indicate where the "eyebrow" of the glass is.
    • This can be removed with a razor blade sometimes, but I recommend you have Tesla do it because you could scratch the glass permanently and I'd rather have them be the ones to do it and cover the damage.
    • In other models of teslas this usually occurs in the side roll up windows.

Sorry if I pointed out stuff that you'll never unsee, but it's better to know about it before you tint the glass. If you have these issues and tint the glass they will become more noticeable. Unfortunately, we only learned about them as we discovered them. Good luck!

Would you consider these issues normal since they are so common?

Just picked up my non-foundation, dual motor Cybertruck yesterday! Wish my first post on the forum wasn't this, but I came to also post about the wavy, distorted view I'm getting out of the windshield. I've set up an appointment with Tesla Service, so hopefully this gets addressed/fixed quickly. I absolutely love this truck, but looking through the warped windshield gives me motion sickness after a while :(

Here's a video:

Bumping this as I just noticed something similar on my new Foundation Series. It's not as big as OPs but it's there. Anyone have this fixed or rectified?
