Tinting Front Windshield Not Possible Because Glass Too Large?

Has anyone tinted the front windshield? I was told it is not possible due to the size of the window. I'm curious to hear others feedback and if they were able to do it. If so, please show some pictures.

Many have. Lots of threads on this. Mine is 50%. Perfect. Costly to do. And you need a good installer.

Yes it’s doable but not for the inexperienced installer. I got mine done with 60% 3M Crystalline. Also as others have mentioned it’s not cheap.

I was thinking of tinting down to the AS1 line, but that's right at eye-level lol. I'll probably do the area behind the visors.

Having 70% 3M Ceramic done this weekend. Already did the side windows and noticed a tremendous difference in heat rejection.

My installer has already done 4 CyberTrucks and he said its an all day affair in his clean air conditioned shop just for the front windshield alone.

As others have mentioned, It is NOT cheap!

I have 50% Xpel Prime XR Plus on front windshield. $400.00 took 2-3 hrs. stayed and waited. i was told mine was the second CT they did. thought price was as fair. significant reduction in heat afterwards. kinda wish i would have done 30% instead. anyway, I went to EMS (Extreme MotorSports) in Jersey.

the driver and passenger side are 20% to match the factory. but they were done at a different shop who did not want to attempt the front windshield. Nice and cool now. ?

I’ve seen both an interior tint and exterior tint/ppf. Thoughts. I like the thought of doing ppf to protect from chips.

Some brand is not wide enough to cover it. I know Xpel and Stek are big enough for it.

As long as the roll is 60”, it will fit with very minimal room for error.

They would be wrong.

I have mine tinted with single solid piece. "70% Xpel".

I believe most here will tell you the same...go to an experienced shop that has done Model Xs.

Same sized big windshield single piece that translates well to CT. Don't let an outfit practice on yours.
