Anyone have the Edit Design button. What is the ETA for white interior trim vs Tactical grey?

My Nov 25, 2019 RN 11297xxxxx, configured on day of invite 03/31/2024, used to say “late 2024” with the white interior and changed to “Oct-Dec 2024” when switched to the tactical grey in early May.

If I edit it now it will remain Oct-Dec, regardless of interior color. Also, no longer an option to select Core wheels and AS tires. If I change it to AWD it changes to “July-Aug”. I hate playing with that function for fear of somehow making an unwanted change and won’t do it again!

I think I've only seen (here), that grey CBs all had Oct-Dec timelines, no matter the order date. I wonder if that is when they planned to to change the assembly line to that. But maybe they are getting to it sooner, I thought I saw a few grey CBs delivered. Anyone get a different window for Grey CB?

Well, my invite arrived on 5/23.

Gray gave me an Oct-Dec delivery window and white gave me a Sep-Dec window (Sep-Nov when I tried AT tires vs AS).

There have been CTs delivered with gray already, so that is not an issue.

Some that changed from gray to white and were in an area where a CT was delivered to the Service Center AND were they were next in line in that area, received their VIN quickly as the vehicle was already there and available. Stroke of luck - right time - right place. For most of us, especially in dense markets with lots of CB orders, we will continue the waiting game.

Mass production simply relies on balancing production with demand. There is more demand for AWD (lower price) than CB and so the production schedule has more AWDs being built. There are only so many CTs they can make. They schedule slots spread throughout the year to meet the need of both. That is why new orders for CB are slated for Q4 deliveries as that is when the production slots are still open.

This just means there is nothing we can do except wait for our production slot to hit the schedule - or be in the right place at the right time with the right config when someone in front of you cancels their already-produced CB.

Guys, we have been tuning into both the app and here to gauge when the big day may arrive and once it does, guess what? You still check the app out of habit and a part of you will miss the anticipation and heightened expectations. Savor the moment. We picked up our Beast and just a few days later the hurricane hit and we have been on generator power since...weird twist, but at least we don't have to wait in line to gas up the Beast.

Dropped by the Rocklin Service Center today. My VIN is still showing in transit with an updated date of 7/13/24. This the worst part of waiting, after you get a VIN, you would think it should be close to delivery. Looks like it will be at least 3 weeks after receiving the VIN.

I received a message today from Tesla to schedule my delivery. I am scheduled for July 16th at noon. Here’s my timeline:

• Received the email to configure on 3/6/24. I configured on the same day.
• I changed the interior to Tactical Gray on 5/13/24.
• I changed the interior back to White on 6/24/24.
• Received my VIN on 6/25/24.
• Initial ETA to Rocklin Service Center was 7/7/24.
• The ETA to Rocklin Service Center was changed to 7/13/24.
• Received the message from Tesla to schedule delivery on 7/11/24.
• Delivery is scheduled for 7/16/24.

I did not receive a message or email from Tesla. I checked the Tesla app in the morning on 6/25 and no VIN. I checked again around 6:00pm on the 25th and I had VIN assigned. So, Tesla assigned a VIN to my order sometime between 8:00am and 6:00pm on the 25th.

If Tesla continues at this rate, considering you’re the same SC as mine and order date, I’ll be an October delivery (unless there’s a fallout in the timeline).
